Back again...
I'm at that age where nothing short of starving myself works. You've heard it all before...working out, walking/running/low carb/low calories blah, blah, blah. I love eating low carb and will continue regardless of my weight, it helps to keeps my blood glucose in check and my other labs have been perfect.

My Goals:
My main goal is to make it through this menopause crap-o-la and come out as fit, if not more-so than I was going into it. One thing's for certain - this is NOT the pause that refreshes!!

Attaining "NORMAL" blood sugars rates right up there with maintaining fitness. FBG closer to 100 would be wonderful!

I'm trying to avoid the big D. Diabetes...runs in the family.

My Program:
Keeping a food journal is a must for me. This pausal stuff is hard on the memory...I forget to eat, I forget what I ate. Heck, I sometimes forget to turn the car off when I park it!!! Journal it then let it go -- I've got other things to try and remember (like turning off the car!)

Taking a brisk 60 minute walk every day. I find the fitness and step tracker very motivational!!!

I've decided to stick with "lower-carbing" it (less than 20 grams per meal, 10 per snack) while still keeping my fiber up and calories between 1200 and 1600 calories per day. Bread, rice, spuds, pasta, crackers are pretty much out except for very special occassions. Just causes too many cravings!

Oh yeah, and water - I can't forget the water. Drinking lots and lots of water!

Personal Information:
I live in SE Wisconsin, have for my entire life with the exception of a 10 month walk-about in the sunny state of AZ. That's when I learned ---"No matter where you go, there you are."
