Hiking before spring had sprung!

Over the years I've been gradually becoming less and less healthy in my lifestyle and dietary habits, and more and more sedentary and just plain LAZY!! I need to STOP being lazy and START being someone I can love and be proud of again.
My new page background is a picture of budding flowers of spring, taken while hiking this week.
My goals have changed drastically. Realizing that I was falling into the same old obsessive pattern, I am going change my goals back to the original goal of just becoming more fit and healthy, whether or not it results in weight loss.
My NEW PROGRAM is about increasing strength and muscle tone, flexibility, balance, cardio health and organ functioning. If some of this extra weight "happens" to gradually fall off, that would just be a bonus of my healthier lifestyle.
Get at least 20 min of stretching and/or strength training MOST days, as well as at least 30 min cardio MOST days (obviously, doing more in either category remains an option)
WITHOUT logging all my food, I will continue to make choices that I know are healthy for me.
I live in Wisconsin, with two cats and my S.O., Chazz.
I work from home, so have no excuses for not following my plan - although I haven't been nearly as successful as I'd like, either in my plan or my work from home.
I'm really getting back on track now. Eating right, exercising right, feeling good!
NOW I'm back on track. I got lost in my "all or nothing" obsessive personality, and lost sight of the really important things I was trying to attain. Again.

Okay divas, listen up! I hope I have your attention. For some time now many of us have been struggling on our weight loss journey. For some its with eating, or exercising, others its both and then there are some who have lost all control and have not only fell off the wagon, but you're running after it now. Enough is enough already, that's what I say. We all fall down, but its what we do when getting back up that makes the difference.
Today, I ask you to recommit to yourself and to your weight loss journey. If you've been an active member of the team, off and on, or joined but have never chatted or done the challenges with us. This is your time to come back and join the team and get yourself going back on your journey. We do not judge on this team. No one will get on you if you fell off the wagon, we'll help you get back up to continue on your way. We all fall down and struggle, but you have a team to help you get through it this time. There's no day like today to get back up and keep on going. Don't say you're wait till Monday because we all do that. Take control right here, right now. We can do this as a team. So, who's with me on this? Here's something that will get you motivated to start in the right direction....

Sounds like you have made a grand adjustment to your goals. Aiming for good health and letting the "weight" take care of itself is a much better goal in my book. At least that is what I am going for. Let's get there together! Feeling good and being healthy is much better than being stressed about some numbers. Take care and keep going for yourself! *S*
