The Adventure for My Lifetime

Thank you ISOLDE312 for the following advice:

Look Beyond The Goals...
While goals are helpful in feeling positive and moving forward and staying motivated, they can also be a deterrent. Don't allow slipping off the path or missing a goal to deter you. You're changing your whole life - there's no timeline! Every day is a chance to make good choices, and every day is a chance to achieve the most important goal - satisfaction and happiness with your decisions.

I've been going about losing weight all wrong. It occurred to me that I had been treating the process as a chore. I hate to do chores; they are boring, tedious and no fun. Well, no wonder I've not made any progress in losing weight and gaining health! How could I ever with that attitude??

Here and now, I am discarding that attitude and adopting a new one! This is not a weight loss journey so much as it is a HEALTHFUL ADVENTURE! I like to participate in races (5K, 10K, Half Marathons); especially those I have to travel away from my home area. I have also recently discovered the fun of Geocaching(treasure hunting with GPS coordinates). Both racing and geocaching are fun, physical activities and when combined, they can create quite the adventure.

The stronger and healthier of body I can be, the more help I can be to those who may need it. My wallet is small, but my heart is big. Through half marathons and other events, I will contribute my all.

This world is full of adventures waiting to be lived and I intend to live as many as possible.
