I have been on Sparkpeople in the past and as soon as I try to start making MY program look like and be what others tell me it should look like and be, I fail. This time, while I appreciate input from other members, please don't take it personal if I don't follow your advice. I can't make this about anyone but me...NO ONE! I am not a selfish person at all and this has gotten me to where I am today. I tend to take care of others and make my life look like what others want it to look like...pretty soon I lose 'me' in the process of pleasing everyone else. I am 51 years old with diabetes, melabotic syndrome, and insuline resistance. I take pills for high blood pressure, cholestrol, and diabetes. It is way past time that I do something about my life...before I don't have a life to consider! Sounds dramatic, but I'm truly fighting to be the person I know I am inside, and can be going forward. I would love to connect with people, I find that helps a lot...so please message me if you are willing to work together in 2013!

My Goals:
My goals include lowering my blood glucose numbers, cholesterol, and fats. While losing weight is a HUGE plus, being healthy is my ultimate goal here.
My Program:
My four month plan is: JANUARY: No soda 2 cups vegies/1.5 cups fruit daily 1 day a week meatless Fitness 3x/week for 20 mins total a day FITNESS: Walking and casual Wii Fitness Track all food/fitness/blood glucose Sparkcoach daily FEBRUARY: January goals plus: No chips, high fat/calorie foods Stay within daily soda allowance 2.5 cups vegies/1.5 cups fruits daily 2 days a week meatless Fitness 4x/week for 30 mins. total FITNESS: Walking plus Wii Fitness work out plan MARCH: Above plus: "Nothing from a box" - no prepared foods 2.5 cups vegies/2 cups fruit daily 3 days a week meatless Fitness 5x/week 45 mins. total a day APRIL: Above plus: Fitness 5x/week 60 mins total a day

I've started on Sparkpeople three times now. I've had some success, but always something 'gets in the way' and I'm back where I started before long. I have a real motivation issue...This is for me and no one else!!!
