A Healthier Me

I am 67 and not very happy with myself in this present state. I have been so encouraged to lose weight and maintain a healthier life style since finding this awesome web site. I really like the idea of tracking everything in one place.

I Skype every day with my husband, who works in Azerbaijan. Sometimes I think that phone call affords us better "quality conversation time" than when he was home! When he decides he's had enough of the expat life and retires and comes home, it will be a huge adjustment for both of us, but especially for me because I've grown quite fond of keeping to my own schedule and doing things my own way. But I'll cross that bridge when it's underfoot.

Thanks for stopping by my page and commenting about the diabetic meds. I would love to lose all my meds but I'm honest with myself enough to know that might not be possible. The first one's I'd like to kick, of course, are the diabetic meds. One has been reduced already so I'm hoping that there are more positive changes ahead. I know it can be done. I'd love to be off blood pressure meds too, but high blood pressure runs in my family. Thanks again. Have a fabulous week.

Tossing bricks! Yeah the move to a tiny house in the country has put a strain on my iffy relationship with DH. I decided to work on myself even if he is being difficult and eating way too much. I gotta look after myself. But I have 8 yrs 9 months until social security so I am trying to keep things working.

What you said about walking brisk is all too true. Better to move a little than to move so fast you have a set-back. I usually walk with my little Scotty and as their legs are so sort, it would tire her out too much to walk the entire 1.1 to 1.7 miles that we usually do. Besides that is her most enjoyable time of the day, and if there were no smells, no pee stops, what would be the meaning of life? lol

Hugs, Eve
PS -- Thanks for the goodie -- sweet of you!
