It's But a Falling Leaf

* If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again*

Those words are from one of my favorite songs, 'Try Again' by Aaliyah and it fits my attitude COMPLETELY!

I have a large amount of weight to lose, but I know that I can do it. I've tried countless times, but I've never given up and I won't give up this time either. This time, I'm going to do it because I have too much riding on it. My health depends on it.

I have a large amount of weight to lose, but I know that I can do it. I've tried countless times, but I've never given up and I won't give up this time either. This time, I'm going to do it because I have too much riding on it. My health depends on it.

The main things that I want to focus on are eating healthier, developing a healthier attitude toward food and myself, and moving and breathing more. If I do all of those things, I know that I will be successful.

I have a message board - Gluten-Free and Healthy http://teams.sparkpeople.com/gfh for discussion of a gluten-free way of eating.

My Goals:
1) Develop a healthier way of eating.

2) Do a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise a day.

3) Drink at least 12 glasses of water a day.

4) Work on having a healthier attitude toward food and appreciate it for its nourishment instead of being dependent upon it for emotional comfort.

5) Work at reaching my goal weight by next summer. But if I don't, I won't be disappointed. I will just keep working until I get there.

My Program:
I'm following a gluten-free/wheat-free way of eating. It has been discovered that I have an intolerance to gluten, so this has really changed a lot of factors in my life. I am also lactose intolerant, so I will try to be dairy-free as much as possible.

Activity includes: Walk Away the Pounds, Turbo Jam, yoga, water aerobics, Pilates, and bellydance.

Personal Information:
37 year old writer, techophile, web designer, computer geek, yoga lover, bellydancer, avid reader...

Currently residing in Michigan, but will relocate to Chicago/NorCal one day soon.

I'm very excited to be getting myself healthy after so many false stops and starts over the years. I am working on my attitude towards myself and towards food, adjusting the balance of our relationship.

So far, so good.

I Believe
I believe! Yes, I believe!
That I can have all I conceive.
Matters not how great, or small
Because I know that God is all
I believe! Yes, I believe!
That as I give, I shall receive.
And if I want what's waiting there
The God in me is what I'll share.

I hope you dont mind me sending you motivation stuff,
I like doing stuff like this and making people happy,
I makes me feel so content,

The Winner - Me!
To be a winner I must know
It's up to me to make it so
Not the me most people see
But, the me I'm free to be.
The me that lets God's power through
To guide the things I think and do.
The me that knows which choice to make
The me that sees which path to take.
I am a winner here and now
The me within has shown me how
To love myself and all I've done
The me I am has truly won!

The tragedy in life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.

Thanks Cam. You are doing great too! Keep up the good/hard work. It will be worth it after all. By the way, my brother named me Bitsie when I was a little girl. He and my grandmother were the only ones who ever called me by that name and both of them are deceased. When I got on SP, I thought it would be neat to use it again, but I didn't really connect it with being smaller. Thanks
Marion
