Those words are from one of my favorite songs, 'Try Again' by Aaliyah and it fits my attitude COMPLETELY!
I have a large amount of weight to lose, but I know that I can do it. I've tried countless times, but I've never given up and I won't give up this time either. This time, I'm going to do it because I have too much riding on it. My health depends on it.
The main things that I want to focus on are eating healthier, developing a healthier attitude toward food and myself, and moving and breathing more. If I do all of those things, I know that I will be successful.
I have a message board - Gluten-Free and Healthy http://teams.sparkpeople.com/gfh for discussion of a gluten-free way of eating.
1) Develop a healthier way of eating.
2) Do a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise a day.
3) Drink at least 12 glasses of water a day.
4) Work on having a healthier attitude toward food and appreciate it for its nourishment instead of being dependent upon it for emotional comfort.
5) Work at reaching my goal weight by next summer. But if I don't, I won't be disappointed. I will just keep working until I get there.
I'm following a gluten-free/wheat-free way of eating. It has been discovered that I have an intolerance to gluten, so this has really changed a lot of factors in my life. I am also lactose intolerant, so I will try to be dairy-free as much as possible.
Activity includes: Walk Away the Pounds, Turbo Jam, yoga, water aerobics, Pilates, and bellydance.

I'm very excited to be getting myself healthy after so many false stops and starts over the years. I am working on my attitude towards myself and towards food, adjusting the balance of our relationship.

Welcome to YOAD. It sure sounds like you are on the right track for that healthy weight loss. Have you had a chance to read the book. It's great and ever so helpful. The Docs have been on TV, which I love to watch when I get a chance. Went to a site yesterday (bordersmedia.com/shows/adviceforliving/oz

Congrats on your 30lbs loss! That's such a great accomplishment! You are doing so well. Keep up the great work. I love seeing others successes, it makes me more confident in the process of this new lifestyle change! You're nearly in the 50's! In the next two weeks I'm sure you will reach that!
