Continuing on my Journey

My name is Jenny, I'm a married 33 yr. old mom to 5 awesome kids, and at least 23 lbs. away from my goal weight. I started this process in Aug. of '09', and have been going steady and strong ever since, losing about 50lbs. I could barely walk a mile when I started, but now regularly walk/jog 2-5miles and/or cycle from 10-20 miles (recumbent stationary), on an almost daily basis. I enjoy having active workouts and fitting in fitness wherever I can. Yardwork is one of my favorites, as I find ...

I have a fear (good reason) of developing diabetes, high blood pressure, and major joint/back issues if I don't get my weight down to a (more) acceptable level and maintain it. What I desire most is to be healthy and feel good!
P.S. I'm also an avid animal lover!

Hey! I just saw your message board post on our team, and I thought I would check out your page. You're an inspiration. You have already lost some weight, and I think that's great. You're proof it can be done!!! I'd love to keep in contact every now and then if you're interested. I don't know that I could commit to every day. My life is somewhat crazy. I'm just so excited to see a real woman with kids CAN do this! You're awesome! Thank you!!!

Here at Spark People, we concentrate reaching our goals in a healthy fashion in order that the weight stays off. Take the time to read a couple of articles every day if you can, if not two, at least one... If you need encouragement or motivation, read up on the success stories or write up a thread. We're here to cheer you on and encourage you on this journey.

Anyway, welcome again and see you online. Many emoticon
