Two years ago I lost 15 pounds with my wedding being my big motivation. A year later, I've gained it back and am seriously lacking motivation. I've been poking around sparkspeople.com for about six months and think I'm really ready to make lifestyle changes. Here we go!

Short term: become more active and more aware of how my body reacts to foods and exercise. (I have some joint and nerve issues so I need to be careful.)

Working on portion control of what I eat and limiting the amount of sweets I let myself eat


PT exercieses DAILY

And strength training/cardio twice a week

Currently reading Proverbs, the Anne of Green Gables series, and The Spark. I love sunshine and baking.

Hey fellow week 3 January Jumpstart Workout Challenge teammate! I read your comment in the discussion forum and was impressed that you don't count your bike commuting as cardio and workout in other ways. Very inspiring! Happy bike riding.

I understand what you said about poking around. I thought I was doing what I needed to do....got sick (nothing drastic)....and then just poked around too! Isn't it funny how hard it is to get motivated and doing what we know we should be doing, and then one little moment happens...and we fall off the wagon. Reading THE SPARK has taught me a lot about myself and where I have been lacking. This is the turning point for me.... emoticon Keep up the good work! Hugs...B
