Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. (Theodore Roosevelt)

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. (Steve Jobs)

I just got back today, so I won't weigh in until tomorrow morning. I think I did pretty well. I was on a Carnival cruise, and their dining room menus have healthier options marked. So I tried to stick with those.

I also drank lots of water and passed on all the bread (not an easy thing for me, but better to not start than to be unable to stop!). I also did lots of walking. I have a FitBit that I wore throughout the cruise. I just tried to hit at least 10000 steps every day. They had a fitness center and a jogging track too, but I decided I was on vacation, so I just tried to stay active. It wasn't hard to hit 10000 steps between walking around the ship and in ports.

I will let you know what the scale tells me tomorrow, but at the end of the cruise, I didn't notice any of my clothes feeling tighter! emoticon

Good luck and enjoy your vacation!!

“Mother’s love is bliss, is peace, it need not be acquired, it need not be deserved. If it is there, it is like a blessing; if it is not there it is as if all the beauty had gone out of life.” —Erich Fromm
