My Goals:
-At least 5 servings of veggies per day
-No wheat
-At least 60 grams of a variety of plant based proteins per day

My Program:
I love endorphins, so I love to work out. I work out at the Y 3-4 days a week, some sort of strength training at home the other days.

I drink at least 16 glasses of water per day without trying. I think I was a fish in a past life.

Tracking my foods is my biggest challenge, the key to my everlasting success, the hardest part to maintain, the easiest to give up, the carrot at the end of the stick. As long as I make myself keep tracking, I know I'll eventually get down to a healthy weight, because it automagically keeps me accountable!

Personal Information:
I work as a community organizer for women's shelter programs.
I've had chronic depression & PTSD for as long as I can remember. Recently, my psych dr prescribed "Mandatory Fun, Joy, Passion and not getting into any fuddy duddy routines." Best advice I've ever gotten!

Other Information:
Don't put me in any boxes, especially with labels on them.

Thanks for your lovely comments! You do interval training twice a week? Oh my goodness you are tough! I loved doing the interval training last week though, it's like a game at times but you really feel it the next day. ha-ha

Thanks for the goodie and encouragement about our challenge. Perhaps I COULD try harder, but on the pat-myself-on-the-back side: I refuse to give up.

I'm thinking that's not really enough, but not ready to get down to brass tacks.

Good Morning, Sharon. Thanks for reading my blog about Josh's tournament this weekend. The travel team doesn't play again until the first weekend of June (and we won't be able to be there). In the meantime, however, both boys will be busy with Little League, so we'll be watching more games.

Josh's team won Sunday morning, but the mercy rule was applied in the afternoon game, which was called after 4 innings. They were beat 14-1. Yes, it's disappointing, but hopefully, they learned from the teams they played, and I think Josh had fun.

Hope you have a good, no, GREAT week. emoticon

Life is too short not to take time out to enjoy the fun.

The best part of life is when family members become your friends and friends become family.
