Christie's journey

My name is Christie. I am 45. I have one son who is six-years-old. He is my blessing as it took eight years to get pregnant. This past January, we were blessed with my "surprise" baby, Madeline Rose.

I am finally committed to get fit and healthy so that I can be a role model to my children. I have to start slowly due to have a c-section with Madeline.

I hope that my weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey motivates you as well.

My goal is to finally be consistent with exercise and to eat in a healthy manner.

I would like fitness to be a major part of life and to be lean and healthy once again.

My Program:
Long term goal: Working out four days per week and charting my fitness minutes.

Short term goals:

1) Drinking 8 glasses of water each day.

2) Eating fruit daily.

3) Tracking my food daily.

Personal Information:
*Mom to a son, five-year-old Nason whom I never thought I would have and a daughter, my surprise at age 43!

Other Information:
Heading toward a goal of size 8, but really want to be a size 6.

Fun information:

My favorite movies are: Gone With The Wind, Funny Farm, Pride and Prejudice (BBC version) and When Harry Met Sally.

I certainly can understand your decision & support it 100%.
Just keeping active as a team member can be difficult at times, add
in the extra duties of being a co-cappie & zoom as you said..NO ME time ...

It has been an interesting 12 weeks..getting to know a few folks & starting to feel part of this group. Looking forward to the next BLC & to seeing you there!

Thank you for all the time..hard work & support you have given to all of us!

A new pup huh...gee that is great!!!

The PARCC you are talking about is it a pilot test? We are starting PARCC next year here. What state are you in? We have our state testing the first week of May. I hate it all. Poor kiddos!

Yes I know what trigger the attacks (usually) but there is nothing I can do about it. I really do believe that working out has helped more than any meds have. Although I did have to take an emergency prescription that I keep with me for "just in case" situations I did make it through. Thank goodness for the people I work with being so understanding. I do have a man on my team and I think I freaked him out and he was afraid to talk with me , avoided me the whole day! Hee, hee, kinda makes me laugh now. I talked with him about it today and told him he didn't need to be scared of me, I wouldn't hurt him or cry on him. things are better today. I came home beyond exhausted and fell asleep when I sat down to change clothes, got up for dinner because my hubby woke me and then went back to bed for the night. My back is still sore today. Oh, well it's over. whew.
