With 250 less calories and 250 more calories burned in exercise I will lose a pound a week and achieve my Happy weight goal of 135.

I am all for this life change. I am coming across so many life-changing experiences studying abroad that I have realized I shouldn't have to worry so much about what others think of me. The only thing that is important is what I think of myself and how I feel about the person I am and am becoming.

Becoming an adult means taking care of myself and making the necessary changes to make my life (and work with hypothyroidism) the way I want it. I know that I don't want to face the same kind of depression that my dad faces each day with is weight and I don't want to deal the daily struggle to lose weight like my mom.

That is why I am starting now!

My Goals:
I will lose a pound a week until Labor Day weekend when my sister will be getting married. I want to get to my "Happy" weight and stay there. I want to be healthy so that when I have kids I can keep up with them!!!!


My Program:
I will track my calories
I will track my exercise
I will go to Sparkpeople for support
I will be eating 250 calories less
I will be exercising at least 250 more calories that day they I normally would



Personal Information:
I grew up in Maryland. I moved to California in high school. I go to college in San Diego. I am currenlty studying abroad in Barcelona. Hopefully with my success abroad I can surprise everyone not by my Spanish skills but with my new healthy ways and look!

    Glad your on my team in "By the Numbers" Yeah team 5!
    All three of us have hypothyroidism so it'll be good to get tips from each other on what works and what doesn't. My doctor told me not to eat Broccoli, cauliflower & tomatoes. I just stopped exercising because I haven't had the energy, which I used to do every morning. I'm hoping to start again beginning Monday. I exercised every morning for a year except on Sat & Sun, but my eating habits weren't good. This site has really helped me to improve them.

    It's great you can travel, now is a good time to focus on yourself since your away from the states and can explore who you are. Sounds like your having a great time.

    Good months and not-so-good months are to be expected. You had an awesome trip around Italy and even if you got off track I would say it was definitely worth every calorie and to me that counts more!

    This will be my first ever BL challenge so I am excited but nervous. But I asked to join a team I was invited to that is low-key on the exercises. I just like the thought of trying to lose 12 pounds in 12 weeks. I look forward to seeing you there.

    You are going to do just great! Your tour of "pasta & pizza" land sounds like it was fun! I wish I could have been there with you!
