Just stopping by to check out this funny guy that calls himself "team gramps" ... what, no sparkfriends added yet? I belong to that 50+ team too, but the Racing mom's have me too busy running and ducking from the shoelaces and wet noodles -- so I don't get over there much. Hope you haven't been neglecting to feed the gazelle ... she's looking a little anemic!
Well, any guy who's as crazy as I am & past 50, deserves to be on my page! Oh, that pic isn't me, that's my watch bird, a 20 -year old yellow-collar macaw. Be careful, she bites! LOL
Always starting trouble! LOL But a picture of my toes??? WHAT???? Dealt with some pretty strange officers when I was in the military you obviously are no different. You always crack me up. Between tying my shoe laces and telling everyone about our big bad team momma side you certianly keep things light. I love your sence of humor although not sure about the toe thing. Thanks for being a great asset (and yes there is an "et" at the end of that word) to the team. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Thanks for your support to our Team VIRTUAL RACE. Now that I know the Gazelle is not an African animal with twisty horns, I can better appreciate your time on the "Gazelle". Now stop tying my shoe laces together..I am already short enough.. 3141 days ago
Go in low and fast on fog? No, I haven't learned that yet. I don't start firefighter one until the spring - that's the course I think I will learn all of that in, and it's the one I think you were talking about before - 4 months, two nights a week and every other saturday? I'm REALLY excited about that.
You must be so proud of your daughter! My dad and I were pretty close too. I love the picture of you two in uniform. I should have one of those made for my husband and me someday, although, we aren't ranking officers (yet!!!). I hope to make captain on our dept in a few years....training training training!!! 3210 days ago
How's everything going? Your ticker is going down! So your daugher's a leutenant? How cool! I guess leadership must be in her blood :)
I just signed up for the course you were talking about - Firefighter 1. It's for 4 months, 3 times a week and is 190 hours. I'm pretty excited. I'm also taking my wildland course to get my redcard in the spring, unless they overlap, of course.
Other than that, things are going great! I decided to train for a half marathon and eventually a marathon.
