My Goals:
I really just want to feel healthy and happy with myself.

My Program:
At my college they offer all kinds of excersize classes.

Last semester I took cycling. This semester I am taking
1. begining weight training
2. kick boxing
3. pilates

I also aim to hike once a week and ride my bike to school atleast 3 times a week.


most importantly: i need to stop eating like a heffer. FML.


A off again on again smoker, an avid energy drink consumer (4 16 o cans a day) and am even worse with diet cokes...I have a lot to work on.

I was 54 when I joined SparkPeople and 56 when I came back and started my Spark Program, starting with Stage One. This is a one day at a time program, but if you do the SparkPeople Program Steps, it really does work. I am terribly average, it's the SP program that is extraordinary.

I found logging my foods in the Nutrition Tracker helped me to lose 90 lbs in 16 months! I started at 210 and went to 120.

I hung clothing that was too small on my closet door and every time I would get discouraged I would try them on. Week by week they started fitting! That kept me motivated.

Welcome aboard, we really are all in the same boat! Sometimes we can sail right along but sometimes we have to be rowing like crazy!

You can make it happen! SparkPeople really does work!

Im not sure how the whole transferring into Poly works, but I say try for a less impacted major than switch majors when you get in (even though that might be even harder than getting into Poly, but at least you got in) Just work your butt off at school, and maybe get some experience under your belt in the field your interested in and you should be a shoe in.

I majored in Construction Management, and minored in Psych, sometimes I wish I had changed majors or did something different, but I loved the people in my major too much.

Currently, Im back in San Diego working for my dad which isnt too bad, he pays well, and I work by the beach.

Girl, you just got to work on one addiction at a time, and remind yourself constantly of how good it feels when you stay on track with nutrition and exercise, and with all the awesome hiking trails, places to bike, amazing beaches, you should get your butt off the couch everyday and be doing something. Man do I miss SLO!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I just try to educate myself on the bad affects of sugar to the point that when I look at something sweet I cringe sometimes it works. Your profile says your from SLO, do you go to Cal Poly by chance? I just graduated from their in June!
