Lazy is Not an Excuse, nor are Food Allergies

10 years ago I lost 100 pounds and at 34 was my ideal weight. Now, at 44, I've gained it all back plus some and am frustrated with my diet options.

When I lost weight before I felt sick and was miserable... what I found out when I stopped trying to maintain my loss was that I am VERY allergic to SOY... which is in every box of frozen meals or prepackaged food. I've also developed a gluten intolerance.

These allergies are a pain, since I have to cook everything from scratch... and we are all carb addicts and gluten free baking is very expensive. I often eat things knowing they'll make me sick because they taste so good... and if a little tastes good then a lot will taste even better.

Excuses... lazy.... and portion control deficient... I absolutely need to get a handle on my food issues.

Hi there! Keep in mind that you Have lost weight before..and believe in yourself that you Can do it again! My starting weight was somewhere around 240ish...2 more pounds and Ill be at 200. It wasnt without setbacks, lol. Try to make slow changes. And maybe see what foods you prepare yourself, that are good for you, that can freeze well and make it convient for you? Keep in touch! My fellow Michigander!
