Howdy from Dallas! My DH (dear husband) is striving to lose 35 lbs. by low-carbing it...specifically Atkins...and I am being supportive. Won't hurt me to lose some as well :-) We started on Jan.1, 2009 and I'm already a tad tired of it - I LOVE carbs........*sigh*

BTW - my name is Elizabeth, but my nickname that started in elementary school was Lizard...ANYTHING is better than all the other potential "bastardizations" of Elizabeth! Examples include the dreaded Liz, Lizzie, ...

Hi. I am in Waco, not Dallas but I know there is a walking club in your area if you are interested in participating in local events on a regular basis. I do similar walks every weekend. We are not "fund raising" clubs, we are for fun, fitness and fellowship. Our clubs are family oriented and most events are baby stroller, and pet friendly. Our object is to keep a record book and collect a stamp for each event that we do. I've done over a 1000 of the 10K events in Texas and in 46 other states. It's actually fairly warm and sunny here today.And I'm glad for it!Thanks so much for your kind words!I'm glad you think I'm SWEET! , because I FEEL a tad bit SOUR right now!I has been a hectic day,W/LOTS of phone calls to make, bills to pay, a sick daughter to pick up from school, Her eye Dr. Appointment to cancel, prescriptions to pick up,AND work to go to later! I'm going to be frazzled AND tired before I even get there!I need to do some deep breathing and some other exercise , to calm my nerves, before I GO on a feeding FRENZY!And I'm EVEN really feeling TRULY HUNGRY,just stressed!So your , and the other posts I've received today, as well as the Goodies given to me, on TOP of the honor of being the Emotional Eaters' team member of the week, Couldn't really have come at a better time!I was really teetering on the edge today , and you and the Others from EE have helped me feel much better,and You guys didn't even realize that I WAS having a rough go of it today!Boy, God really DOES provide!AND knows and sends whatever help I might need !And today, he provided me, and surrounded me with your warmth , understanding and kindness, among others!God is GREAT!Sorry about the rambling...I Just Wanted to let you know, how helpful YOU were to ME today!Thanks for the compliment about my writing too!That meant A LOT to me, because I LOVE writing, and take great pride in it!
