I have experienced problems with my weight over the course of my life. Until lately, I have viewed my weight as the problem, for various reasons, metabolism, physiological, lack of resolve, etc. But, recently, I have come to realize that my weight problem is a symptom of a bigger problem. Mostly, it is a lack of self-control, a lack of consistency, and a tendency to use food as a crutch or a drug of choice. Now, with my weight spiraling out of control, I am faced with changing my lifestyle or dying. My blood pressure is high and I have already had a close call with Stroke, which runs in my family. So many of my friends and family have been sick and dying lately and I'm just not ready to leave my children and grandchildren, yet.

Thanks for your kind words on my blog . I feel so bad for my son. I used to have the same problem as my son which is probably why I feel so incredibly bad for him.I grew up in Chicago and when I was in 1st and second grade I used to hide every recess because the kids would come looking for me to pick on me. It was horrible. My mom said I wore the same clothes until 3rd grade, that I didn't even grow. So I know it helps my son that I can relate. It just hurts to see him so sad.
