a new baby, new goals

I have been married for nearly 7 years and I have been a mom for over 5 years to my now 13 and 15 year old boys. YIKES!!! (Yes I am WAY too young for that!)

I have been struggling with my weight since becoming a parent. I hit 165 during my first semester of graduate school. I hit a low of 139 summer of 2010. I gave birth to my son joshua july 2012. I really want to get back in the 130s & will start working towards that goal 6 weeks post partum.

Pup great job on the run!!! How are you feeling? Your knee ok? Most people would have not even shown up for the race if they were injured. The fact that you went in there and said you were going to do the best you could is truly an inspiration! I think I am going to take the plunge and register for a marathon for the spring. It's on my "bucket" list before I turn 30!!!

Well, I made it through officer's School! Super glad to be done with that! I have lost ALOT of weight. I'm down from 156 to 131 :) WOOT! I'm pretty proud of that and trying my best to keep it that way! How has it been going for you? Still struggling around 150? Drop me a line :)

i think my prob is exactly the same...nothing to be motivated for. right now, i'm just trying to focus on little things...like wanting to look good for a girls weekend with high school friends in october. or for thanksgiving with my family....but it's not nearly as motivating as the wedding!
that sucks about your knee :( injuries are the worst! have you been biking? it's a really nice time of year for that.
i hope i can make it this weekend. if not, we'll have to get together..i still have your movie!!

OMG I am so sorry to hear about your injury! I know how hard it is to walk away from a goal when your so close. Keep smiling and work on getting better, it's all you can do! My 10k goal race turned out to be a bust. They marked the race wrong so it ended up bing a 6k race. People (myself included) were not very impressed. Even the 5k race was 200 meters short. Who measures these things?!

Anyways, I plan to keep running regardless. I even got hired on part time at my local RunningRoom so now my clinics are free. SO really I have no excuse to not run. I plan on maintaining my distance until November, then I'm hoping to start training for my first half in February if all goes to plans. That being siad running outside in the winter in Calgary, ab, Canada is only for the brave. Hopfully I'm brave enough!
