a new baby, new goals

I have been married for nearly 7 years and I have been a mom for over 5 years to my now 13 and 15 year old boys. YIKES!!! (Yes I am WAY too young for that!)

I have been struggling with my weight since becoming a parent. I hit 165 during my first semester of graduate school. I hit a low of 139 summer of 2010. I gave birth to my son joshua july 2012. I really want to get back in the 130s & will start working towards that goal 6 weeks post partum.

My Goals:
to lose weight

My Program:
I run, ski, swim, do some strength training and take a spinning class. I am eating healthier and have better portion sizes.



Personal Information:
I am becoming athletic and thin again!

My goal is to try to lose a lb a week until I am down to 135/130.


Other Information:
Becoming a mommy has been the hardest thing I have ever done.

Weight loss may be the next up. :D

And then grad school, lol.

Hey, thanks for checking up on my progress! I AM at my goal weight, set many moons ago! But I've got some way to go still with respect to muscle tone...before I started doing 30 Day Shred last week, I had not done any strength at all in two years! I also still want to lose an inch from my hips if I can swing it. All this may entail a small additional loss (or gain) over the next few months --- we'll see! How have things been with you? Added you as a SparkFriend by the way!

Hi! My race went well...it was super hot, so I'm happy with my time, considering. Weight loss is going slow, but at least I'm not gaining! How are you doing??

Hey 1PUP! Thanks for checking in on me. I've been super busy trying to start up a freelance business (editing) on the side (and hopefully full time eventually) and got sidetracked away from working out and trying to lose weight. Sadly gained it all back, but I'm refocused and already lost 1 again. I've been meaning to stop by the thread and will try to do so tomorrow! I definitely miss the support! I obviously need it! How are things with you?

I hear you on the TOM business. I started today and I have already drank 12 glasses of water, and I am not peeing as much as I normally do. I think I'm just creating a bloating effect. At least it will be gone by this weekend!
