July 10, 2008, I started on a plan to lose 100 pounds in 1 year. I successfully accomplished that goal on July 9, 2009! My team included a personal trainer who is also a licensed nutritionist, a dear friend in my neighborhood, my Bible Study Class, and two other friends who encouraged and followed my progress. My family members were also supportive. I now want to lose another 15-20 pounds but also recognize that my journey continues in maintaining the weight loss and continuing on the path of healthy living. What a great and awesome adventure I'm on!

    Hi Jo,
Congratulations to you on your journey to lose 100 pounds, and on getting others to get healthy with you. It looks like you have had success with both. Thank you so much for your comments on my page. I never really looked at my story being an inspiration for others to want to get out and walk with me. I will be talking at our next neighborhood get to get-to-gether. I hope it does draw some interest in walking with me. There are so many beautiful places right close to me to walk, including the neighborhood. We have a dog park, a county park, and even a botanical gardens with free admission, and a picnic area, where we could arrange a healthy lunch. I'm going to try again, thanks to you. Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon.---Sherry
