Words of Wisdom for Weight Loss...

*Make yourself a priority. As a busy, working wife and mother you deserve to be healthy and you are worth it!

*I set myself up for success by keeping my workout clothes by my bed and walking the first thing in the morning. I wear a pedometer and strive to aim for 10,000 steps daily.

*Try to set weight loss goals in small increments.

*Surround yourself with supportive people.

*Try to distinguish between stomach hunger and emotional/stress hunger. Each time you reach for food, ask yourself whether you're actually hungry or if you are eating due to stress, boredom, etc.

*Portion control matters! Be aware and take time to record your nutrition intake.

*Exercise is a great stress reliever!

*Almost any recipe or food can be prepared more healthfully. Try switching to low-fat or nonfat ingredients and use spices to enhance flavors.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

* It's a new, permanent lifestyle!
* Don't avoid the scale.
* Make small changes and goals.
* If you have time to bite it, you have time to write it.
* Have a list of reasons you want to lose weight. Be very specific.
* Move it to lose it!

Extra thought: Every pound that is lost takes four pounds of pressure off of the joints.

A special THANKS of gratitude to Sparkpeople and its members for providing me with a wealth of information, inspiration and motivation. I am most grateful for your encouragement!

* Take a 10 - 30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile.
It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

* Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life.

* When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is to_____today. I am thankful for ____."

* Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

* Drink tea and plenty of water. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

* Try to make at least three people smile each day.

* Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

* Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

* Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

* Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

* Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

* You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

* Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

* Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

* No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

* Frame every so called disaster with these words: "In five years, will this really matter?"

* Forgive everyone for everything.

* What other people think of you in unimportant. Truth is, they're probably not thinking of you at all.

* GOD heals everything -- but you have to ask Him first.

* However good or bad a situation is, it will change. Change is the ONLY constant in the universe.

* Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch!

* Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

* Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: "I am thankful for _____. Today, I accomplished ____."

* Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

* When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. You'll be smiling before you know it!

    Thanks for the encouragement!!!!! Today was one of those 'emotional days' for me, don't know why but I woke up crying and then when I was looking at news videos watched 3 videos that were very sad about dogs and sat and cried watching them. emoticon that was kind of silly I guess, should of stopped after the first one made me cry.
    Then I called my mom and we had a 90 minute conversation that went over pretty much all our good and sad memories of my childhood. My mom told me a lot of things she had never talked about with me before about when her and my dad got divorced when I was 8 and while I was glad she felt she could talk to me about how hurt she was and some things I never knew my dad did before that really hurt her, it also made me sad that my dad did those things and since he past away almost 20 years ago I can't talk to him and I still love and miss him too, he was my best friend. So not a good start to the morning, on a positive note, I walked 4.5 miles in the 90 minutes I talked to my mom so got my work out in for the day.
    Then I went to work and there is a lot of turmoil going on there with our managers and the management above them so everyone is stressed and even my boss, who is usually very awesome got onto me today for something he usually wouldn't of. I will be glad when the Big Boss leaves and goes somewhere else to micromanage how everyone below him breaths and even blinks, he is a total jerk. On the positive side of that, we now have fruit and cheese sticks in our office for snacks so when I want to stress eat, I reach for some grapes, an orange or a cheese stick instead of candy, part of our company's nation wide new policy is learning healthier eating and taking better care of ourselves, we even had to take a course on it through their 'university' website.
    I really hope tomorrow is a better day, I was sick at my stomach, had a sore throat and my head hurt all day long. I was so glad to get off work and come home tonight. I am looking forward to going to my room, watching a little TV and going to Bed!!!!!
    Hope you had a much better day than me today!!!!!!
    Sorry this is so long but I really don't talk to very many people about how I feel off line or on line. Thanks for being here!!!!!
    Have a Very Awesome Weekend!!!!!

    How dare you make fun of someone for something they can't control?

    She has acne. - Do you think she chose to have red spots all over her face?

    Her nose is big. - Who cares? Is she supposed to get plastic surgery? Hmm?

    She has crooked teeth. - I've never met someone who got braces just for fun.

    She wears glasses. - Do you think people like being half-blind? They don't.

    Her hair is frizzy. - Some people don't like frying their hair w/ a straightener.

    She's not a size 0. - Oh, I'm sorry that some of us aren't afraid to eat cookies.

    Imperfection is beautiful.
