Lifestyle Changes for the whole Family

When I graduated highschool I weighed all of 98lbs --- I had never struggled with my weight. I was raised with fairly healthy eating habits, but few exercise habits. Still, I was an active teenager and never had to worry about weight. In the 10 years following graduation, I packed on 50 pounds!! I had 2 kids and a career that involved sitting at a desk all day long.

Thanksgiving 2005, I saw a very unflattering picture of myself and decided it was time to do something ---- I was 8s and 10s, which only looks big on a 5' frame ---- anyone else would look great in those sizes.

With the help of friends at SP, I lost 15lbs between Jan and April 2006 and was in a size 6.. Then hubby and I decided we wanted to conceive again. I quit exercising regularly, but I had formed healthy habits and kept the weight off without any effort.

While pregnant with son #3, I actually lost weight in all the right places (face, arms, legs). I gained 23 - just enough to keep the Dr happy. I nursed Coby for a full year and more weight continued to fall off ----- nursing consumes 500 calories a day. :)

I now find myself hovering around 130 - plus or minus a couple on any given day. When I go through confident spells, I leave SP for a while, abandoning all tracking. Then, when I start a new routine (as I do often), I come back here so I can track everything again and monitor progress.

I would love to get down to 115-120 but I haven't yet found a discipline I can follow long term. P90X seems like it may be the ticket but it's just so time consuming. I enjoy it, but I work full time and go to school part time and have 3 kids and a hubby and friends who all want attention, too. Sometimes, I just wanna SLEEP! :)

Thank you for your comment! I do prefer having a good attitude instead of hitting myself aover the head. I know what I have done wrong, I just have to make sure to not repeat that.
Thanks again

Thank you for the support and encouragement on my blog. I really appreciate it. Just throwing a bit of a pity party today. Tomorrow is a new day and even if it is a "holiday" there is no reason to avoid the food tracker right? Thanks again.
