All I can be is me and I want to be the best me possible. Do not lie to yourself. Emma Marianne, I'm an emotional eater. There have been times when I have turned to food to deal with my emotions. I've learned on SP to separate my new healthy lifestyle from dealing with my emotions. I turn to SP to keep me on my healthy lifestyle and also I little checklist of things I monitor for myself to make sure I'm taking care of me! It took me a while to figure out for me to be successful, I had to track my food, had to track my exercise, had to publish my weight loss tracker and of course, the best part, participate in the SP community. I had decided though that I wouldn't give up. This time I would figure it out. I have a positive morning routine that is very helpful. I have come a very, very long way. You can too. Update on Easter, 2013: I remember struggling with throwing out a trigger food then realized I was struggling with myself and no one else really cared. I seemed to be caught up in some sort of codependent thought process at the time and I realized no one really cared about the food like I did. You know how they say "relationship with food"? This is a point where I came full circle. I threw my trigger food in the trash and never looked back. I repeat this process now when there are foods that cause me issues. Although I admit, there are times when it takes me longer than I care to admit. The end result is the same however. The food is banished!

Lose weight. Have more energy. NO CARDIO WHEN LIFTING
My Program:
Daily: 1. Track my food - 1400 calories per day. Salads on days after I work out with weights. Subway on other days. Cottage Cheese and fruit for dinner (yum) Latte Fridays, Twice a month La Madeline's! 2. Track my calories burned , goal 2000 calories per week. Coach Nicole recommends at least 250 minutes of exercise per week from now through maintenance. Sun - walk (subway) Mon - weights (subway) Tues - walk (salad) Weds - weights (subway) Thurs - walk (salad or Madeline's) Fri - weights (subway & latte) Sat - elliptical 500 (salad) Walk to fill in the remaining 50 minutes. 3. Use SP Coach daily. I "lift heavy" so fewer reps more weight. Holiday Alert!! For Holidays I prefer to go out to eat where I seem to be able to control my food intake better with a salad and chicken then to be exposed to all the temptation of having pies, cookies, etc. here at the house. Looking forward to
Personal Information:
Go Pirates! I went to school in beautiful eastern North Carolina. I am a Christian. Ask! Seek! Knock! Mathew 7:7 Favorite colors: White, Blue (Navy, Bleu de France ) Black, Gray, Silver, Pink (magenta, french pink)
Other Information:
I am a recovering perfectionist, codependent, and emotional eater. Sometimes I do too much. I manage my day by praying (thoughtfully and confidently) each morning and also by allowing myself to feel my feelings and rationally solve my problems. (I recognize that feeling feelings is not the best approach for everyone; each person has to find their own path.) Also, I've built a strong support system. I need that because I am a caregiver - I am a caregiver to my Mom. ...I love to read - especially people's stories so biographies, self-improvement. I like to go to movies, laugh with friends and family and sometimes I can be kinda abstract...I love the ballet and my favorite places are the National Gallery East Wing (Smithsonian, DC) and the Kennedy Center. I also love Houston and their fine arts. I also love the beach.
