I started on January 11, 2012 on a life changing plan to become slim, trim and healthy!

1/12/2012 - Counting calories is easy with SparkPeople, but food choices are still hard. I can do this!

1/17/2012 - The office has gone no smoking! This may be harder because I am a smoker.

1/25/2012 - I am Two weeks and eleven pounds lighter! Thank You Spark People!

1/27/2012 - I wish I had internet at home over the weekends. Lots harder to keep track of what I eat.


2/02/2012 - It is time to start exercising. Starting of on the wii, slowly. 15 minutes a day - every day!

02/15/2012 - I am up to 30 minutes a day on the wii, and I am feeling more energetic.

02/16/2012 - Me and Dr. Oz - started taping his show and watching every morning over my coffee. Very motivational right before exercise.

02/17/2012 - Cinnamon - a teaspoon a day is suppose to lower your blood pressure, so I'll try it.

2/22/2012 - Weigh in day. Hang on to your hats! I have now lost a total of 24 pounds.

2/29/2012 Weigh in day. Down to 225.4 pounds. The weight just seems to be falling off. Counting calories, making sure I drink the water, started having a glass of red wine a few nights a week. Funny thing is I don't feel deprived. Had a black bean burger last night it was great tasting and filling with my veggie boat. Thanks SP! 26.6 pounds and counting. I'm a quarter of the way there!
I still haven't had a single sole, other than my very supportive husband, say anything abount my weight loss! Not one, "have you lost weight?" or "you are looking good girl!"
But I know how much better I look and feel. Wonder how much I will have to lose before anyone else notices?

3/07/2012 - My youngest daughter asked about my weight loss today, as did my Mom. Guess it is starting to show.

3/14/2012 - Weigh in day! Down to 221.6! I have lost 30 pounds to date.

Good points:
Feel great.
Exercise has increased my stamina and strength.
Don't think about food all the time anymore.
I don't get winded with the smallest task.
Need new clothes.

Bad pionts:
Need new clothes.
My skin is baggy.
Wrinkles in my newly thinner face are horendous.

Concentrate on the good and find a fix for the bad.
Been working in flower beds this week the weather is great and I am really enjoying myself.
No one else has said anything about my weight loss yet, but I am getting strange looks, like they know something is different but not sure what it is. Maybe it's the new wrinkles!

4/1/2012 I am up to 1 hour of wii each morning. I get up at 3:30 am coffee and me time till 4:15 then an hour of exercise at 5:45 I am usually in the tub and dressed by 6:15 fix breakfast usually an omelette with lots of vegies and then to my parents to visit for a half an hour before I leave for work! I have a great life and a great husband who is still asleep when I leave in the mornings but has my supper waiting when I get home from work!

4/18/2012 I passed the 40 pounds lost mark today. YAH! I feel more motivated than ever. I rarely look in a full length mirror and when I do I guess I don't look down. When I took that picture for my 40 pound loss I thought I was looking really good, but I am definitly still obese! More pictures from now on. They will help me stay motivated.

4/25/2012 Don't know how I lost 4 pounds this week. Maybe it was working in the flower beds all weekend. I haven't felt this good in years! I actually feel good before during and after all the yard work!

5/14/2012 I am really close to having lost 50 pounds! When I first started this life change it seemed no one noticed, now it seems everyone notices! Even my nephew on Mother's Day said "Hello Skinny" when I walked in the room. He saw me less than a month ago and said he didn't noticed I had lost weight then!
I started arobic exercise to go along with the yoga and strength training. Before now I couldn't do it. My knees would hurt terrible if I did 15 minutes of any arobic exercise including just walking. I am alternating 60 minutes of arobics one day with 60 minutes of yoga and strength exercises the next day. I am hoping this move will start getting more of the fat off faster.
I feel great! I am working in my flower beds and enjoying it. I don't dread having to walk anywhere! I might even enjoy shopping for clothing again!
I met my first goal and my second goal is in reach, just 5 more pounds before June 18th.

I turned 55 this week, at 189.6 pounds! I have met my goal, and then some.
I love shopping again! I took three pairs of size 12 jeans into the dressing room at Kohl's, thinking I could buy a 14 when they didn't fit. I ended up buying one pair of size 12, but all three of those size 12 jeans fit and weren't even tight!
The problem now is I own one pair of jeans that really fits, the rest are baggy and look frumpy, but I don't want to invest in something which will look frumpy in a few months!
I can't believe I am complaining about this!
I AM IN A SIZE 12!

I am down to 179 pounds! With a weight lose of 73 pounds!
It is harder to have big loses every week now, but I know what is coming off is staying off. I set a goal of being down to 170 by September 1, and it ain't gonna happen, so I will get over it and set a new goal of being 75 pounds lighter by September 1, still doable.
I have cut back on my smoking from a pack a day to a half a pack a day! This is my 7th week at a half a pack a day and I am looking forward to wanting to cut back even further thanks to the daily exercise routine I now have.
I have switched to the biggest loser wii game and exercise at least 6 times a week. Best time for me is 4 am. A little early for some but I have my solitude and don't have to worry about interuptions.

By spring I want to feel like being out in those flowerbeds! (ACCOMPLISHED)

By June 18, when I turn 55, I want to be down to 199 pounds! (ACCOMPLISHED)

By September 1, I want to be down to 170 pounds!

By Christmas 2012 I want to be down to 150 pounds!


My Program:
I will track my food and water intake everyday.

I will exercise every day, gradually adding more time and intensity to my workouts.

I will read and watch and do to motivate myself everyday.



Personal Information:
I have never been a thin person, but when I went from a construction job to sitting in an office chair all day, I put on alot of weight.

I love my job and I love my health. I have to make them both work for me.


Other Information:
Be all that you can be, and then some!
