Searching for the New Me

When I was in high school, I was at my maximum weight at 260 pounds. It took me 10 months to lose 90 pounds, and has been a yo-yo battle ever since. During college, I gained a little back, then lost quite a bit more toward the end, then gained it back when I got my teaching job, lost more again, and gained it back. I'm sure this sounds familiar to many people, but that has been my life.

I had realized that I never stayed consistent with an active lifestyle. I have changed my eating habits for the most part, but I have fallen off the track a few times, and became lazy, once again, and not getting proper sleep. Of course, everything changed when I got pregnant and gave birth to the most awesome little boy a mom could ask for.

Call this my ultimate project...to permanently change ALL of that. Maintain a healthy lifestyle...getting active, and staying active..maintaining healthy eating habits. Obesity has been my enemy since I began Kindergarten, and I'm ready to defeat it!

I'm using Scripture and a public blog post, as well as making new friends who are as committed as I am to keep me going. It is hard to do this alone.

My blog is at the site listed below. I am using this to keep my motivation going, as well as being held accountable and hoping to motivate and inspire others who are in the same boat as I am.

Hoping you are still trying to focus on positive things. Sometimes this journey is a long one - actually, I think it is usually a long one. So we just have to stay the course.
Have a blessed weekend! emoticon
