Writing to Right Sized

I have some friends who are joining with me in a quest to lose 50lbs (or more) and we are using Julia Cameron's book _The Writing Diet: Writing to Right Size_ .

I have been almost dormant on SP, but I think it will help me to use the tracking to get more diligent.

I get so much inspiration from you all. There's always someone telling an amazing story.

January 2012

Now that my birthday is past, I reset my weight goal. For now, though I decided to focus on getting stronger and eating well and to forego weighing. We will see how that works. I haven't yet thought of a good title for my page, so leaving The Fifty title.

December 2011.

Wow! I set the 50 lbs by the 5oth birthday goal before I read The Spark. I saw that others had goals on their pages and it seemed like a good idea. Here it is December and I have a pound to go to make this goal. WooHoo. SparkPeople has been extremely helpful to me. I have plenty more weight to lose, but for now I am celebrating this amazing gift SparkPeople and I have made for my upcoming bithday! Thanks everyone for your support.

Enjoy my life.

Take good care of myself.

Improve my fitness so that I can enjoy the outdoors more.

My Program:
Eat sensibly. Nothing required (except 8 glasses of water per day); nothing prohibited.

Eat well. Avoid processed food, sweets and too much fat.

Don't overeat.

Use food to fuel body and mind. Soothe emotions, celebrate and indulge with other non-food treats.

Enjoy good food, eating and being healthy.

Exercise. For strength and fun. Shoot for 1,500 fitness minutes per month.

Personal Information:
I love my hobbies including: photography, cooking, folk music, mountain dulcimer, crochet, church, Wii video games, writing, poetry, watching college basketball,and more.



Other Information:
I strive to be open, tolerant and accepting.
