I work in fast-food. Enough said you get the picture.

When I started on my Spark journey I had hope, my mind was saying we want the weight off yesterday and each morning I woke up, I woke up feeling it was a bad dream. But no the weight was there. I don't know what happened this time, it was like something snapped inside of me and determination has come flowing through. Especially when someone throws me a curve instead of reaching for a food comfort I am drinking water and/or busying myself on the treadmill, on spark or doing crafts.

So far on my journey I have lost 17 pounds with Spark and that has motivated me to do even more. I am taking full advantage of drinking the water and exercising. I feel in control and I feel so much better. What I mean by that is I have more energy. When I stand up, I stand up. Before it ached to get up off the couch and now WOW I feel so much better. I don't ache and I have the same thing after that 20 minute ride back from town each day...I jump out of the car, I bound up the steps. Its a wonderful feeling.

You might wonder where does the energy come from...it comes from within. I think we all come to the point where from deep within we decide I AM DOING THIS and I AM SUCCEEDING. Dig deep within yourself and find that spot and that time and you can achieve anything. I know I will and I believe all of us together can make it happen.

I am so excited! I just posted my first challenge as a team leader! It is something we all can do! It's fun, doable, and we have 'plenty' of time to all be successful on it! It is called the "christmas time challenge- lose 12 by 12/12/12" It is in the motivation area of our team page. Ck it out, sign up! We can all achieve this challenge together! I have been on Sparkpeople for a few years and I am ambarrassed to say that I am still lost with this program.
Can you give me a blueprint or directions as to how to follow? I seem to be all over the place with it and tend to get frustrated alot because I feel lost.
So the one question I have right now is how to use my calorie intake to lose weight.
According to this plan I need 1200 to 1550 calories daily.
And I read that in order to lose a pound a week, I should use 500 less daily.
So do I now plan on 700 to 1050 calories daily?
If not then how do I do it? I am pretty confused and it makes me feel like I should know this and yet I just haven't got it.
Please help me out on this. Thanks and hugs emoticon
