My biggest goal is to be healthy. I quit smoking over a year ago and since then have ballooned up over 50 pounds. I want to lose weight, lower my cholesterol, blood pressure, and depression so that I can at some point stop taking so many medications
I am currently practicing label reading and over all portion control. I chart everything I eat and drink on sparkpeople. I have given up dark sodas and drink massive ammounts of water.
I was born in Rockland, Maine. Northport, Maine is where I call home. I am 35, have been married for 15 years to the most wonderful man in the world. I have 2 beautiful daughters and would like to get healthy so that I can be around to see all of them grow old.
Hello and Welcome to Sparks. Congrats on making this first step to getting healthy. Here, you will recieve lots of info on how to change your life for good. There also is many sparkers waiting to welcome you and encourage you while you are on this journey. Don't let this place overwhelm you. It will take a couple of weeks to really feel like you know what you are doing. The most important thing I can say to you is NEVER GIVE UP. No matter how many times you may fall, just pick yourself up and keep going. Find teams that will meet your needs. Then post everyday. This will help keep you accountable. Find those who have lost the weight. I like hanging out with them because they did it. If you need anything just let me know. If I don't know the answer I will help find it.
