My name is Tina, i am 49 years old and have been married for 29 years. I have three daughters. My goal is to lose 40 pounds. Unfortunately 2 years ago it was determined that my oldest daughter, 26, needed a kidney transplant. This was a total shock and completely threw me and my family in a whirlwind. Drs. were baffled as to how this happened, as she was never sick prior to the diagnosis. They ruled it to be from a viral infection that affected her immune system. Needless to say, i packed on 30 pounds from stress eating and no exercise over the two year period and need to get it off now. I am 180 pounds today and 140 pounds sounds delightful. I am happy to say that after months of intensive testing to see if i was able to be a compatible donor to Laura...... I was, and donated my kidney to my daughter on December 20, 2011. We just celebrated our one year anniversary with her new kidney and she is doing REMARKABLE. As a mom I feel full again and ready to take care of ME now. This awesome website was actually referred to me by the phenomenal transplant drs at University of Pennsylvania. Love It....

My Goals:
To become healthy by losing weight and incorporating regular exercise into my life.

My Program:
To start I am keeping my calories between 1200 and 1500. I started following Beyond Diet which is organic eating. I am finding alot of success and feel so much better already. No white flour or sugars, organic meats, fruits and breads. I still eat my breakstone cottage cheese though...Exercise is usually 4 to 5 times a week with cardio and strength training. I want to feel good again. Too young to be feeling so tired and blah all of the time. I have to say i feel better already and it has only been 1 month..

Personal Information:
My name is Tina, I was 49 in November. I'm married and the mom to 3 beautiful daughters. My goal is to enter my 50's feeling and looking awesome......

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourself a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles.
~ Hellen Keller

Enjoy many successes this June!
