Leyla's Journey!

I am a 26 year old female who is in desperate need of weight loss. One unique thing about my struggle, is that I need to eat more! This will be my biggest hurdle. For years I have only eaten one large meal a day, which is usually at night. This one large meal a day is the most unhealthy things that someone can put into their mouth. My plan is the change this into 6 very small meals a day. These 6 meals will be healthy foods.

For years I have only eaten one large meal a day, which is usually at night. This one large meal a day is the most unhealthy things that someone can put into their mouth. My plan is the change this into 6 very small meals a day. These 6 meals will be healthy foods.

One other big struggle for me is energy. I have finally realized that my one meal isn't providing enough energy for me to keep going. After consuming my daily meal, I'm fast asleep! So, along with the 6 small meals a day, this will hopefully provide me with fuel for the entire day. This will aid me in any physical activity that I take on.

As far as exercise, I plan to walk for 30 minutes a day for at least 4 days a week. The 30 minutes will slowly increase as my body gets used to it. After I lose around 50 pounds, I will turn my exercise into jogging - 15 minutes to start. Slowly, I will increase my jogging time.

Oh, sweetie ~ I'm so proud of you for committing to a healthy and happy life while you are still young. Makes me smile to think of the life ahead of you. I saw your post on the "Scared to Post" site and just wanted to stop by to wish you joy on your journey. Hope you find lots of healthy food you love to eat (checked out the Spark Cookbook yet?) and exercise you love to do.

Hi! Thank you for your kind comment and words of advice on my blog post- I really appreciate your support. It's also nice to meet another 'black sheep' of the family.

I'm glad that you, too, are starting to step into the Spark Community. I never really understood what people were going on about because I hadn't experienced that level of support before, but even reading other peoples' stories inspires me!

Anyway, welcome to Spark! I hope you do eat the six small meals and enjoy the results, I know it has been working for me to eat smaller meals regularly. I don't follow the meal plans but I use it for inspiration to plan my meals and for once I'm losing kilograms without starving.
