Making Changes

Sparkpeople is really exciting to me. I needed direction on how much calories I am consuming and how to change things for a healthier lifestyle. Sparkpeople is really exciting to me. I needed direction on how much calories I am consuming and how to change things for a healthier lifestyle. I have been very depressed about how I got like this, I have tried over the years with working out and trying to eat healthy, was successful until I hit my late 20's, I gave up myself to my kids and family. I had a miscarriage and just got into such a deep depression and life was just too hard to do everything right all the time and I gave into comfort food and my depression. I also over the years just had gotten beaten down by people and life situations I just didn't know exactly why I couldn't handle it. This past year things really came to the light for me. And I am making changes. I am not going to blame anyone, not even myself. I just didn't have the personality or the wisdom to know how to handle the people and situations in my life. I just lived blindsided and now I know that I need boundaries and I am wiser to have let go of some people and things that were very unhealthy in my life. Sometimes you have to come to the end of yourself to really figure out what the gut issue is. You really find out why you do what you do, like overeating, or not excersizing. Stress, stressful people in my life, toxic people, emotional eating, and being too tired are the biggest culprits for me.
However, I really want to overcome these obstacles and direct myself into better living. So I joined a gym and am keeping track of everything in my food, fitness, and life itself. Whatever is beneficial to the health of me is the only thing allowed. Sounds selfish, but I will not feel guilty anymore of putting myself first (I know I am really not a selfish person). I have boundaries now, and I hope to stay and have healthy, balanced boundaries.

My goals are to:

1. Stay within my calorie range daily.

2. Build up my muscles with strength training 2 times a week.

3. Do cardio at least 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week.



My Program:
To stay focused.

My program is working out five times a week, and strength training 2 times a week.

Eating Healthier and within calorie range.

Drinking 8 glasses of water.

Thinking positive.

My name is Katherine. I am married to a wonderful man for 23 years. I have two children, a son who is 21 years old and an 18 year old daughter.

I am a twin and would love to look like her! We are identical but I need to lose weight.

I love the Lord God Almighty, and love dwelling in His presence.

I love to read, knit, be at the lake, go for walks, hangout with my girlfriends, and go out on dates with my husband.
