NEW BEGINNING---FEB 2009

Hi EV1,
I just turned 46 yrs old. Was Born and Raised in Chattanooga TN/GA area. My Family are all back in Chattanooga area. Met a wonderful man and moved here to Ft.Worth TX area 4 yrs ago. We married Feb 3rd of last yr. I am Happy but need life stylechange. I most definetly need to lose weight and become a healthier Me!
My husband, CJ and I go back once or twice a yr. to see my family. I have one married Dtr, Christa. She has two small ones, Isaiaha Chase (Izzy) and Aubree Faith (Bree).
I love being online with my family through webcam like being there with them. My Mom and Sisters are a trip! lol. I get to watch my grd. babies grow up and they know who I am when I come into town to see them.
I want to be healthy for my husband and grd babies. We love to travel. I love to go to all the little towns here in TX. Being over weight makes it hard to travel at times and I don't like how I feel. So I need support to help me with my goals and my journey to weightloss and a healthier me!

You can find me and husb. most nights/early mornings playing online with our guild and friends at Phantomefx Reel Deal Casino a non gambling site. Most people are asleep while we are awake due to working schedules. Can't really do much at night except shop at the 24 hrs retail stores and walk in there and resturants or just go on a night time drive. So alot of our early morning hrs after midnight are spent online.


I was thinking the other day about how I have gotten so out of control with my health and weight. I am such an emotional bored being. I eat when I don't realize I have eaten. Thought back to two weeks ago, on a Sunday. CJ went out and brought home some Lunch. He got me a BAKED POTATO with cheese and butter only. I was on the phone with my sister and we were talking about Mom. Mom has had a pretty bad health issue with pulmonary emboli the 1st week of March, a couple of weeks ago.

While I was talking to my sister, I kept on eating. The baked potato was a large one. Later that evening CJ asked me if I was getting hungry and ready to eat . I said " Yeah we haven't eaten yet...OH wait! We have eaten already. " I had forgotten I had eaten earlier. I had just remembered I had eaten that big Potato while I was talking on the phone with my sister. I was so involed with the conversation with my sister, I had completely forgotten that potato.

Makes me wonder how many times I have gotten caught up in what I was doing and my emotions, that I have totally forgotten about actually eating and ate again. Kinda makes you open your eyes.

Daily Goals--- April 2008
1. Be sure to journal how I feel and what I eat every day.
2. Track my food daily.
3. Track my fitness daily.
4. Drink 8 glasses water daily.
5. When in Kitchen, count to five before I open cabinet doors and refrigorator. ** (this is very important for me keep me open with how I feel and what I am eating so I don't emotionally binge eat)
6. Make healthy choices for snacks such as fruits and veggies.
7. Read a sparkpeople article daily.
8. reevaluate each day how I did towards my daily goals and what I did that was not working towards my ul;timate goals.

My daily goals my not mean anything to others, but they are actual big steps for me. I have got to get my self ready for bigger and better lifestyle change. I have to focus on the issues I am having today, so tomorrow will not be so hard and I can accomplish so much more to get to a healthier thinner me. I will do these Daily goals for one month, reflect, and and make bigger chalenges for my self at the end of April.

I can do this! I will do this! I need support and motivation from friends and family!

My ultimate goals---
1. be down to 140 lbs no time limit. Just be healthier getting there.
2. able to make healthy life choices without having to think twice.
3. To be able to walk 5 miles without exerting my self.
4. Be no longer Type II Diabetic
5. To Live a long quality life with Husband and live long and healthy for my grandbabies to know and love me.
6. Want to go back to Natural Bridge Caverns, and be able to go down into the caverns and back out with out much effort. June 2004, Hubby took me to the caverns and I almost felt like I could die down there. Steep walk down and steeper walk (seemed like climb) up and out of the caverns.
7. I ultimately want to be able to play in a sport like volley ball and soft ball, and that is my goal to do that.

My Goals:
I want to take weightloss day by day. I want to become a healthier person and become more active again. I want to hit the 300 mark 1st. and then work on down to the 200lb. mark.

I am going to a Medical Wt. lose Clinic. I am not taking any wt. loss meds at this time. My wt. loss will be Optifast/meal plan.

My Program:
I am going to get up out of chair and move more. Going to follow my diet plan. Going to drink more water than I do, which hasn't been enough. Going to Do the SparkGuy's 10 min. Fitness Club for starters.

*My Husband and I play World of Warcraft. We are taking a breif rest from WoW for a time to spend more Real Life time together.

*My family and I spend time with each other via instant messenger with webcams to stay in touch daily. Makes the miles not so faraway.
