Don't let people live in your head rent free

I am a 30 year old office manager living in Northeast Ohio with my husband (and so far no children). I have been overweight since middle school so being an 'average' size is very new to me...I still feel like the fat girl most of the time.

I do however, feel much better about myself and much healthier. The last 6 months I have mostly been maintaining my weight loss.
As far as weight goes, I am pretty satisfied with my progress because as I said, I have always been very overweight (and only 5'3"). Technically, my final goal is to be rid of the 'muffin top' that hangs over my jeans...and of course they say that always goes last!

Now, it's a new year and I MEAN BUSINESS!! IT IS TIME TO GET RID OF THE 'MUFFIN TOP'!

GET UP, GET OUT, AND GET MOVING!

My Goals:
* feel better about myself
* get healthier
* enjoy clothes shopping
* feel more comfortable in my clothes
*find a variety of exercises to keep it interesting

My Program:
Spark People has changed my life!

I love to ride my bicycle, I have a bike trainer for long NE Ohio winters. Recently I have begun hiking and I love it! I may even try to get out there in the cold...and I hate the cold.

Portion control and tracking what I eat has been the biggest part of my program. I have gained a sort of 'respect' for working out. After a bad day, it always makes me feel better. It's true what they say about the endorphins!

I 100% agree with and follow a 90/10 program...eating my best 90% of the time and eating what I like best 10% of the time. I know that I could reach my goals faster giving 100%, but that usually makes me feel deprived therefore making me give up!

Personal Information:
Born and raised in 'wonderful' northeast Ohio. I love summer and vacations at the beach!

Other Information:
I love to read and it really helps the boring inside cycling in the winter.

I remind myself everyday of all the people in my life that I have to be thankful for. Spark People included :)

    Definitely. it's challenging and it takes determination and PATIENCE... but it is not as impossible as the world makes it seem! I would totally die without carbs too, omg.

    Thanks for the blog comment! and CONGRATS on the size 6 capris! emoticon emoticon I cannot even fathom buying something so teeny tiny!

    Now, to work on silencing that inner fat girl! Why is it the Ghost of Fat Girl Past is soooooooo much harder to lose than the actual weight itself?!?!?!?

    Have a fabulous weekend! emoticon emoticon emoticon
