I am a former athlete and fitness junky. Now I'm a working mother with two children and a husband. (we all know husbands count as half a child). I weighed 170ish through high school and went to college gaining 50 lbs. I maintained that weight until 2005 and I lost 20 lbs. Lucky for me I got pregnant the month I reached 199 lbs. I weighed 170ish through high school and went to college gaining 50 lbs. I maintained that weight until 2005 and I lost 20 lbs. Lucky for me I got pregnant the month I reached 199 lbs. From there it has been an uphill battle physically and emotionally. I think I have it together now...time will tell. I am an emotional eater and it is my biggest struggle of all. When I am at home I graze all day. I have to look at it as a permanent change and not just a quick fix. I have to focus on my psychological health too. Getting over the personal mental abuse. Slowly through self talk I am feeling better about not having a "perfect day". If I miss a workout or am not making decent food choices for the day then I get back up and work on it the next morning. Each morning is a lesson in positive thinking and optimism. :)

My goals are to be happy and healthy. I want to lose 50lbs and feel strong. I want my daughter and son to see what a healthy lifestyle is and continue being active through their life. Other Information:
I love being active and outdoors. I really enjoy watching nature as it is. I am an amateur environmentalist and my family is very aware of our carbon footprint. Nothing makes me happier than to sit and listen to nature.
