APRIL 2016

Oh, my- have not updated in a while. But, I have been so "busy"!! My daughter uses that word as an excuse for anything she does not want to do - me thinks.

Oh, my- have not updated in a while. But, I have been so "busy"!! My daughter uses that word as an excuse for anything she does not want to do - me thinks.

But, I have been prioritizing all the things I want to do. Love my knitting group, but am planning to meet only once a week for a while - Monday afternoons.

At church, we have started a Christian Book Fellowship and are going to be reading Watchman Nee's book, The Norman Christian Life. We will be meeting every other Tuesday evening.

Also, starting to quilt a bit again. Finally got a small area set up in my bedroom for my sewing machine, iron, and a place for sorting and cutting. Will be fun.

And, finally, have decided to renew my membership at the Club 24 - with my daughter and son's prodding. Was going to just cancel, but got a good deal for the next year. So my goal is 4 times a week. Will see how that goes.

Looking forward to a warm, sunny Summer!!

Hi Barb,
Thank you so much for the Goodie. I am doing pretty good. Our weather is in the 70's and 80's. I have been taking walks in the sunshine which I'm sure has improved my mood. The walks aren't very long and it's been irratating my knee. I have to weigh the good with the bad and as long as it doesn't get to bad I will continue to walk. Thanks again and I hope you are doing well too.

Good morning Barb, glad to hear your weather has picked up, l know how much you like the warm days.
Ours is better too, we've just had two days in the seventies but it's back to cool and windy again this morning and we've had a ground frost overnight.

l've recovered from the bronchitis but went straight on to a stomach upset which knocked me for six for a few days, got better from that and began with toothache so made an emergency appointment with the dentist and it seems l've an infection under my front tooth, he's given me antibiotics and l've to go back next week. l also tripped over the back door step at Leahs and fell into her kitchen...lol...two big bruises on my hip but otherwise ok...it never rains but it pours, l'm beginning to wonder what will happen next! emoticon
How's your leg? Hope it's healed now.

David has seen a doctor about his hernia and is now waiting for an appointment to see a specialist about an operation. They said the hernia had got as low down in his groin as it could go and he needs it doing soon.
lt's taken me a while to get him to go and see about it, l got the grandkids on at him too and it finally did the trick. Amelia, the five year old, was especially good, she put this pained look on every time she saw him and said that he has to go to see the doctor because she didn't want him to be poorly and it finally worked...lol...

Well, my washing is ready to peg out so l'd better get on.
Hope you have a fabulous week emoticon

I didn't keep a picture of the quilt, because it was a gift to someone. I checked your quilting page and am impressed. You do some nice work. For me I mostly work on my quilts when I need them for something like a gift or when I got nothing else to do. Sitting still is hard for me and quilting hurts my hands now-a-days. If have RA. But I have one in my pictures on my sparkpage that I am working on this year... lol it will not get done any time soon. emoticon
