I'm 27 years old and try to be active. I am terrible about staying on track on the weekends. I'm a social butterfly and love going to cookouts, dinners, bars, etc. It's hard to stay motivated when you're the only one. I joined Sparkpeople to get motivated. I like knowing there are people out ther just like me who struggle with their weight. I love being able to track my progress when I am doing well....but it also holds me accountable when I'm not doing well. I'm starting graduate school in the fall so I want to be on a good program so I don't pack on weight while in school.

Fitness Minutes: 10,661

My Goals:
My initial goal is to lose 17 lbs and tone my muscles.
I also want to make good food decisions all the time, not just during the week.
I want to be able to run on the treadmill. I'm up to 60 seconds at a time now but I'd like to slowly build up to more and more.
I want to not smoke at all, even when I'm drinking.
Find yoga that fits my budget and schedule.


My Program:
I am trying to follow the sparkpeople guidelines for food or at least make healthier decisions.
Do at least 10 minutes of exercise everyday.
Run/walk on the treadmill or outside 3 times per week



Personal Information:
I'm from Neenah, WI and now live in Milwaukee. I'm graduating with my master's in Counseling in May and starting the PhD program in the fall. I'm a big fan of knitting and reading and it's hard for me to choose between the two. Maybe someday I will be able to do both at once...doubtful.


Other Information:
Nothing tastes as good as being healthy and full of energy feels....that's what I tell myself when I want to eat a naughty treat. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!
