The Journey IS the goal!
April, 2015 - On to my next 5% Challenge! I learned a lot and developed some new habits that are staying with me as the scale moves in the right direction! Stay tuned!

2015 - Time for more excitement!! I have joined the 2015 5% Challenge and am excited about even more good things along the way!! It's time to start running again (in more ways than one) and continue moving forward to the best life that's waiting for me!

TRACK AND MEASURE: my commitment for the 8 weeks of the 5% Challenge. I'll be looking forward to all the "new" clothes that are in my closet just waiting to be worn! (See my profile for my fitness goals.)

10 MINUTES AT A TIME: My exercise minutes have really added up simply by being active in 10 - 15 minute chunks.


2014 - I've been "tending my garden daily;" sometimes only small changes and other times, major overhauls. The point is that it's on my mind daily and I never give up! Keys to good gardens (and good lives!)

2013 was spent using a better scale; the scale of BALANCE. Balance between body and mind, through brain and heart. Gone is the warrior of the past; I'm on a road now that I've passed by before - the peaceful path.


2012 was my year of Creation. 2011 saw a lot of changes in my life (not all good ones but that was last year) and I was definitely ready to create the best life yet!! 2012 did not disappoint!

I've been on this journey before but for some reason I stopped before I got to the what I thought was the best part!! I'm still learning but the lessons I've learned here is that THE JOURNEY IS THE GOAL and DON'T GIVE UP.

Listed below are my some of my goals from when I first started with SparkPeople in June of 2009. I can see now that these are more than just goals; they are promises I've made to myself.

MY GOALS from 2009
-To learn why I can lose weight yet not keep it off
-to take all I've learned from past failed weight loss attempts and add it to what I'm learning now to ensure success!
-to share what I learn in the event that someone else can benefit from what I've discovered
-To make the "for life" changes that will keep me young and to HAVE FUN while I'm at it!

I live half of the week in Door County, Wisconsin (Washington Island) and the other half is spent in Green Bay (where I have the job that pays for the life in Door County!)
