June 15, 2014 - beautiful sunny day! Fresh and cool. Going to be 80s...pretty darned perfect summer day. Things are going pretty well I'm down 32 pounds since the first of the year. On the McDougall Maximum Weight Loss Plan. Doing some walking and stretching exercises. Doing the basement steps. Having issues with the pedometer - I don't always remember to bring phone and so that app isn't working. Would like to try Fitbit or something...my Orion pedometer I just put on and leave all day but it ...

April 28, 2014 - Doing pretty well. Been walking everyday at least 1 1/2 miles. On a diet program with my doctor - it is not bad at all. I am losing weight finally. I found a wonderful endoconoglist, and she referred me to a gynecologist...between us all things are looking up!

Well I have given up sugar, bread, nearly all grain and anything I can think of. I'm eating veggies and beans...some fruit and a date once in awhile. Hot tea...lots and lots of water and that is about it. Still I have not lost any weight. It is so hard for me to stick to the program when I see no results! I'll feel better tomorrow :)

Here I am...203.6 pounds but I have lost some since I began around the end of 2013. So, I'm trying to eat healthy and smaller portions. Almost or NO sugar. Trying not to eat bread. Lots of veggies and fruit, whole grain and less coffee - adding tea. I always drink tea but I've got some nice teas coming that I like that may help with the sugar cravings. Also longevity tea and my Sunrider Calli tea which I love. I have had trouble with my knees so exercise will be a challenge. Hope to get some buddies online...it always makes me stay motivated if I have friends.

I didn't have a really good year - instead of losing weight I have gained six pounds. Must make changes.
May 9, 2013 - Had stress test and doc says I am AOK. No blockage and so I should be fine. Am eating well, need to exercise more. Drinking an anti-inflamatory smoothie right now :) Tried to log into the Coach training thingie...but it won't work. I am paying for it...I think :) Anyhoo...the puppy is doing fine, I'll put some photos up - yesterday we visited a friend who is very elderly and he was so calm and sweet with her...as he is with children. He is getting quite large for a puppy and they put him on her lap!! He did great. I'm a proud mommie. We can WIN.

We has a bit of a.scare.when my heart rate.went way up and my blood pressure sky rocketed. Finally had to go to the emergency room. So, now I am on day nine of eating healthy and walking. Next week I see the cardio doc.
March 12, 2013 - Lost 5 pounds. A long way from where I need to be but it shows me it is possible.
March 9, 2013 - Yesterday was very good in the food department. I got in a walk..and today I will as well. I am using my nutrabullet and today I am trying one that is said to help fibermilga (sp). Sleep wasn't so good last night...so today I am tired. The night before I slept for 8 hours...and I can't remember when that happened last!! I'm not having too much trouble sticking with the plan. I need to do more work on my goals...the main one which gym will I use!! We are going out to dinner with the family tonight to celebrate the parents 65th wedding anniversary and I will go over the menu here in a few and decide what I will eat so that I don't eat too much. Or, be tempted to eat the wrong thing or talk about it all....talking about what I will or will not eat always leads to people telling me it is a treat, special occasion...throw caution to the wind. Believe me, I do not need any encouragement to do all that : )
March 8, 2013 - Been doing better with my food and hope to start exercising today...well, at least a walk. Kolya is at the groomer, so I will walk with him when he gets back. Hope the weekend doesn't side track me on my food!! We are going out to eat and I will have something healthy...I know I can.
March 6, 2013 - I am commiting to SparkCoach...am enjoying my NutraBullet and I quit taking the statin because I know if I eat right and exercise I won't need it. My cholesterol is 190...and my weight is off the roof (is that a saying). I am following the program and will hope to get more energy to do better. Good news is that there isn't any "bad" stuff, candy etc in the house. I won't buy any more. I can do this. I CAN WIN.
February 22, 2013 - I am going to try Spark Coach. I need some help, motivation and maybe this will do it. I've got my NutraBullet now and am also drinking my water with vinegar to help with my Cholesterol problem. I did start taking the statin the doctor gave me, but only until I can get control of my diet and exercise again. I know I can WIN - I can win and keep this weight off and keep myself fit and free. Yay for me..I joined Curves. I still have to get a form from the doctor (a new experience due to being 66?) But tomorrow I will get that done and go 4 times a week. I have been using the treadmill a little every day. The Curves seems to be payed back...I hope I can get the help I need there.

I am glued to the computer, tablet or EVO to watch, read or listen to the Iditarod! It is very exciting this year and although I really hope Aliy Zirkle wins...just to finish this great race is an accomplishment!

Well....got my blood work results back today and didn't do so well. My chorlestrial is very high - I have to go pick up the results tomorrow....for some reason they won't give them to me via mail...just a letter; and we like to see the numbers. Oh well, learning to not buck the system : )
Of course, they want me to take drugs...and I know I can get my numbers in order if I just eat right and exercise.

Doing well on the veggie thing. My new cookbook, Attitude for Reduction is great. I've also been looking at some of Susan Powter's old recipes - some can be easily changed to vegan. We ate well using her books...and lost weight.
Yesterday I mostly took a day off - I did Coach Nicole's video with weights...but havent started the 28 Day with Coach Nicole...DVD I just got. I am looking for a 5K in March near Columbus as I thought that would motivate me to do the 5K training. I changed to the walk instead of the walk/jog forum. I think I need to take things slower until I can get with a trainer...haven't received my Silver Sneakers card yet! Yesterday would have been a great time to go swimming and I am eager to begin. Still, I am doing the treadmill 10 - 15 minutes per day and walking outside with the dogs...we are walking further each day. They are so happy : )

Today I decided to bite the bullet and get on the scale...I finally lost a few. Maybe 5 - my scale isn't digital and I need a new one but I definetely lost some. Been struggling. Maybe this will spur me on. In a few days I will be able to go to Curves and the gym. Gotta love that part of turning 65. I was thinking I would like to sign up for a 5 K (walking) in a month...that would give me something to work for...well, besides getting healthier and fit : )

OK - I made a mixture...not exactly the Green Drink (didn't have cukes) used 2 c spinach, a carrot, celery rib, a lime peeled, some strawberries and an apple...didn't taste very good so I put in some blueberries and a packet of stevia. I will have one big glass now and another later. And I will drink lots of water. I will take the dogs out for a walk, feed the birds (I do this everyday, but it doesn't really get my heart rate up) and then do the treadmill for 10 minutes...
I cut the dickens out of my finger trying to cut us the apple!! BUT today is the day and I mean it. Darn it I know I can do this.
