I've been overweight all my life. I've lost weight and gained it so many times I have no idea how many times. Right now I'm 46.
My goal is to lose more weight, get more active, log my foods, and generally feel better. I'm so tired of people thinking I'm stupid just because I'm fat.
But, my primary goal is to get some help for my binge eating disorder. I'm now hypertensive and pre-diabetic. I don't want to be either of those things. I'm not even 50 yet.
To get healthier. Physically, mentally, emotionally. To keep my diabetes under control. Diabetes runs on my father's side of the family, I've seen the horrible things it can do. I would like to lose weight. But, I'm being realistic about this. I don't think I will ever be 140 pounds. I would like to lose weight slowly. AND NOT RE-GAIN it!
I'm following the recommended diet plan from Spark People. At the very least I watch my proteins fats and most importantly my carbs. I'm also shooting for LOW sodium intake, as I have high blood pressure, also. Right now I'm trying to get extra exercise in here and there. My goal is to increase the exercise. But for right now, 10 min here and there is good. I'm focusing mostly onto what goes INTO my body right now.
My name is Kim, and I appreciate Spark People. And, I feel that we all need each other to succeed. I live in the Midwest of the USA. I've been overweight all my life. I'm happiest when I'm about 200 pounds, and active. If I can get lower than that, and still be happy and active, then great.
I have 3 cats, one dog, chickens, and a husband and a child. One of my cats thinks he knows how to use the computer, so he's usually sitting right next to me when I'm on the computer....LOL!
