Hi, my name is Clive McGrory or MAC to my friends. I am 58 years old and live in a small village near Falkirk, Scotland. Hi, my name is Clive McGrory or MAC to my friends. I am 58 years old and live in a small village near Falkirk, Scotland. In fact it is so small that it comprises one street, 50 houses and a small primary school. The beauty of the place is that at the back of my house is a village park which is protected as a site of natural beauty and also has a part that even the villagers cannot enter without permission as it contains some rare flowers. My main interests are cooking, reading and the internet although during the summer months cricket is a priority and I will be glued to the TV for a lot of the time. I live with my wife, Mary, and daughter, Patricia, and my mother, Beryl. My mother joined us up here 5 1/2 years ago as she found she could no longer take care of herself properly. Since she came she has got back to the Mum I knew as a child and she is once more enjoying herself, (she is 83 this year). I am disabled and so is my daughter. I have multiple disabilities which mean that I require a wheelchair to travel distance but I am fortunate in that I can still get about the house with the aid of a delta walker. I do require some assistance at night and my daughter has drawn the short straw as my wife also has a full time job. Activity wise I generally do the housework and cook for my mother and the garden is also my responsibility. I am able to garden with the aid of a modified shopping trolley which enables me to sit whilst using full size tools. I attend a local church and part of that is baking for the after service get together. There is also a lunch club which meets every Tuesday and I sometimes do the main cooking for that also, although we do have a lady who heats everything up or cooks herself and generally everyone pitches in to serve up and wash the dishes afterwards. I generally have a good qaulity of life and I like to keep a smile going whenever I can. I am an eternal optimist and know that even when things are not going well there is always hope around the corner and that a better and brighter future awaits us all.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose another 50lbs in the next 9 - 10 months

My Program:
Maintain activity level as I cannot do gym type exercise and must be careful not to do too much as it has consequences. Cut down food intake to a more sensible level and change to a more healthy food regime. Try and keep within calorie count but take a 'day off' every couple of weeks so that the body doesn't get used to only having so many calories and thius will be 'fooled' which means it will still keep readjusting.. Also, I will treat myself every once in a while although I will look for alternatives to my favourite things such as fresh cream cakes and chocolate!

emoticon for watching/reading my blogs.

The cabin is bigger then people think.

The 2 floors are aprox 1700 square feet.

The hill up to the cabin is steep at one

point and I think with a good ice even

my 4x4's (both wife and I own 4x4 trucks)

would not make it up.

However, I have not yet since starting the

build not made it up the hill.

Right next to the little shed by the creek we will

be installing a garage. The trucks will be

parked there. We will have 2 or 3 four wheelers

to ride up to the home. The cabin will be enclosed

with a fence to keep my dogs in and others out.

emoticon Anything larger then a 4

wheeler will not even fit in our yard without

a effort anyways. We will also have steps/ or

trail winding up from the garage so a walk

up is not out either. We have put down

many many truck loads of gravel all over

the road up. 1/2 of the hill is bricks with

concrete under them. A wet spring was

there requiring the extra effort.

I am no longer doing my construction business

as I wanted to continue home schooling my

kids and building the cabin.

emoticon for reading.
