Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
My name is Weeden I am a wife and mother of two beautiful kids a 6 year old boy and a 2 year girl.
I started Sparks at 126 lbs in November 2008. I was about 137 lbs before Sparks. I wanted to lose baby weight from having my daughter in May of 2008. I also wanted to get down to my normal size for my wedding.
I lost about 25 lbs with spark in 7 months. By June I was 116 lbs and looked and felt fabulous for my wedding and honeymoon. I had alot of ups and downs but I did it. I continued for several months to lead my healthy lifestyle and maintain a weight of 115. All together I lost about 35 lbs. Most of that with SP.
Over the course of 2010 I slid back to old habits and stopped exercising almost all together. I gradually gained the lbs back. It just started to sneak up on me and soon my pants felt tight and my belly started developing agian. I lost my Spark and am ready to get it back. I need to fit into my old pants agian and get back on track with my healthy lifestyle. I had gone up to 140 lbs on a barely 5'2 frame! Looking at pictures of myself from 2009 I looked awesome. 2010 not so much. I am ready to start all back over and not stop!
Dec 2010- 140 lb!! OMG.
I want to feel better about myself, I want to inspire my kids to be active and stay active. I want to be a good example to them. Kids are perceptive and watch you carefully. I want them to know what is good for you and what is not. I want to buy clothes that fit well. I want to feel like I did 10 years ago when I was in HS and at my thinnest. But I want to be healthy, strong, and determined. I want to look and feel good in a bathing suit, and in my own skin. I want to look in a mirror and actually like what I see. I do not want to quit, give up or make excuses. I do not want to backslide. I do not want to regain the wieght.
This is the time to live healthy and be healthy, for myself, for my kids, my husband and my family and friends.
If not now when?
August 2008- 137/136 lbs
November 2008 (started sparks)-126/125 lbs
April 2009-119 lbs
July 2009-116 lbs
August 2009 116
October 2009 114
I have always been a small person, I am barely 5'2 and any exta weight on my small frame makes me look even larger. Not to mention that being short finding pants that actually fit is a huge problem. So far I have lost 20 pounds over half of that on sparks people. I have learned that losing weight is not about dieting, but eating healthy and keeping active. I know alot of my wieght was due to the fact that I became a stay at home mom and food was always around. I have learned to control my eating to an extent. I do not deprive myself of something i want though. I learned it is unhealthy for me to just give up something i like because it makes me want it even more. So if I want a cookie, or some chips I will have some. The key is moderation.
1. Get healthy agian and stay healthy.
2. Lose at least 20 lbs. My goal is 30.
3. Not rely on the scale number for happiness.
4. To feel good about myself.
5. To make the ultimate lifestyle change and keep it.
6. Not give up!
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOAL SETTING
1. Thou Shall Be Decisive
Success is a choice. You must decide what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it. No one else can, will, or should do that for you.
2. Thou Shall Stay Focused
A close relative to being decisive, but your ability to sustain your focus from beginning to end determines the timing and condition of your outcomes.
3. Thou Shall Write Down Thy Goals
Your mind while blessed with permanent memory is cursed with lousy recall. People forget things. Avoid the temptation of being cute; Write down your goals.
4. Thou Shall Plan Thoroughly
Planning saves 10 to 1 in execution. Proper planni
I eat 5-6 small meals a day. I always have something healthy for breakfast. Usually a chicken salad for lunch and a healthy dinner. I am big on protien and make sure I get enough everyday. To make sure I eat enough calories I usally fit in 2-3 small snacks. I always try to maintain portion control.
I have cut my calorie intake from 1500 a day to 12000 a day. I eat more veggies and less sweets. I also get an hour of cardio in a day by jogging step, boxing jumping rope or hula hoop. I really enjoy that. I do not starve myself. I do not deprive myself I eat food that I love.
I control food it does not control me. If I want a sweet treat, I will have ONE not two or three, but ONE.
I am orginally from Phoenix but now live in a tiny town in SD.
I lost over 40 lbs through out late 08-09. I became lax about my lifestyle and over the course of 2010 gained all the wieght back and then some. I realized I needed to get my spark back. I have normally been a small person, I guess over the years my bad health choices have caught up with me.
I love to read, cook and take care of my family. I also like to go out from time to time and dance. I love dancing.
