Hi everyone! :)

My back story is that I wasn't always "the fat one". As a little kid, I was stick thin. It wasn't until middle school when I spent lots of time with some less active friends, then moved halfway across the country, that I started to get a bit chubby. Once that started, I still tried to be active, playing softball and trying track, but gave both those up by sophomore year of high school in lieu of getting a job.

It wasn't until middle school when I spent lots of time with some less active friends, then moved halfway across the country, that I started to get a bit chubby. Once that started, I still tried to be active, playing softball and trying track, but gave both those up by sophomore year of high school in lieu of getting a job.

It didn't help my weight that my first job was at McDonalds. All the free food there definitely added some more pounds over the next 2 years, but my sedentary lifestyle in front of the TV (usually while lying in bed) made the situation exponentially worse.

It wasn't until just before my sophomore year of college that I had a wake up call about my weight. I hadn't thought that I had put on the freshmen 15, maybe a freshmen 5 or so. But during that summer following my first year at college, I noticed 2 stretch marks forming on my belly, one on each side of my belly button. This freaked me out! I mean I have other stretch marks, but those are mostly typical growing stretch marks. Regardless, I didn't want it to get worse, so for the first time in my life, at age 19 years old, I started working out and eating better. At this time I also realized that I was stepping into the grounds of the overweight category on the BMI scale...which really freaked me out too.

Sparkpeople was the only reason I was successful. In the course of 3 months, I lost 30 pounds weighing in at 160 (I'm 5'11" so this is a healthy weight for me)! It was amazing and I got sooo many compliments! I was thrilled with my results, but lost my way after the holiday's started. I stopped sparkpeople all together for quite a while. Over the next 2 years, I bounced around a bit, getting back up to about 172 pounds. Still a healthy weight, but not where I was happy.

So here I am again! I've lost all the weight I gained back and have just recently pushed past my all time low of 160 to hit 158.8 pounds today! My current goal is to get to 150 pounds. Then potentially down to 145 after that. I really just am excited to be a weight that I literally haven't been in 10 years (I'm only 22 now). This is a big deal to me, and truthfully, I'm proud of myself for being able to dedicate myself to my body in the healthiest way I can! :)

My Goals:
I've been maintaining most of my weight loss these last 2 years...I just want to try and kick start it again to finally get to my final goal! I want to get lean and strong!

Be a fitter, healthier ME!


My Program:
Keep moving!

Do strength training 3 times a week.

Stretch daily.

Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Stay within my caloric range.

Personal Information:
I currently go to Wright State University. I'm dual majoring in Accounting and Finance. Trying to make it through this last year and make my way in to my Master's program!

I also work roofing houses with my step-dad and our crew. I've been doing it for about 2 years and while it's hard work, it pays well and it's a great way to burn off a few extra calories!

I'm 5'11" and I'm used to towering over everyone, guys and gals alike. Can't wait to find me a TALL guy! :D

I'm a firm believer in focusing on yourself FIRST. How can you ever be happy in a relationship if you aren't happy alone first? I'd like to think my momma taught me the best way to manage my life, and I live by those words everyday. (Especially since I'm currently young and childless and have the time to devote to me.)

Thanks so much for all the wonderful words left on my blog! It's so nice to be home and in the "recovering" stage of this whole thing. I started food tracking again and am slowly going to get my life back to normal over the next 8 weeks. Thanks for being here! It's very much appreciated!

Hey thanks for the add and comment! I'm in college too so I totally understand. TRUST ME emoticon lol. My P90x is a copy and the Ripped in 30 is a Jillian Michael's DVD. It's only $10 at Wal-Mart and has 4 different work outs so that's like $2.50 per work out. I've only done week 1 but so far it's worth every penny! It's definitely a low cost option if you're looking for a dvd. Good luck with everything! emoticon

I saw your comment on a blog about Jillian's Ripped in 30, and just wanted to make sure that you knew that it was only like $10 for that DVD!!!
