I weighed 250lbs in 2002. Then I went to live in Spain and Italy for a year and just from daily casual exercise and healthier eating, I lost 70 pounds! I came back to the US and lost another 30 or so over the next three years. I felt great, I looked amazing and my life felt almost perfect. In 2007 I quit an emotionally unsatisfying career and took off to South America for almost a year. I reconnected with family there, I was very active but eating very well. When I came home I ...
When I came home I brought with me 10 extra pounds and over the next 3 years, have somehow added another 10+. I have switched from being a vegetarian of 16+ years to focusing more on eating whole foods and I exercise regularly. I am here to shed these extra pounds again, and keep them off for good. Weight loss is tough, but I'm tougher. I plan to lose these 23 pounds by December 13, 2011, the day I start my month-long journey through India!

My Goals:
For 2012: reach 145lbs followed by 140lbs! Then maintain! Find a job I love and get serious about going for a master's degree. Sept 2011:Tone all (or most of) all that wiggles and jiggles. Stop mindlessly snacking on high-fat foods like nuts & cheese: DONE! Fit in a dress that I wore 4 years ago that I love.
My Program:
I have been converted to the "real food" movement, and feel that I am taking steps towards a healthier life by consuming organic fruits and vegetables, limited whole grains, and local dairy and meats that have been treated humanely.
Personal Information:
I've been all over the world but I haven't found any place that feels like a true home. I guess that means I have to keep looking!
