Trying To Get Fit Again!!

I am aiming to lose about 20 lbs; have always been thin until I got on anxiety medication so I am really determined to get back in shape. I have only been on Spark for a couple of weeks, but already I am 100% more motivated than I was before; what with the teams, the support from other members, and being able to track my progress makes me want to do even more. I have tons more energy now, even my skin looks better--I have a rosy glow!! I realize putting on weight has taken a little time, and ...

I realize putting on weight has taken a little time, and even though I am usually an impatient person, I know it will benefit me to know I need to take it slow--nothing good happens overnight and you have to work at your goals. Thanks to Spark, I know I can accomplish anything.

My Goals:
I'm 47, and I am realizing (finally) no one lives forever so I want to be the best I can be. Toning up, getting rid of my belly and gaining more energy and confidence are at the top of my list. I also want to quit smoking, but realize I need to take one step at a time when it comes to goals. Too many goals at one time can cause you to fail and to be hard on yourself, so 1 goal at a time!!

My Program:
-Turbo Jam
-Hip Hop Abs
-Strength training with hand weights
-Walking at least 1 mile a day with WATP no matter what workout I do..I always walk afterward! I like to wear my 1 lb. weighted gloves while walking to a DVD to burn even more calories.

Personal Information:
I am married with 3 children; 2 of which are grown, and have a granddaughter. I have lived in West Virginia all my life. I love the beach, reading thrillers and mysteries, and am fascinated with the supernatural, angels, fairies, etc. I have a piczo web site where I display graphics and pictures I made on Paint Shop Pro. I also enjoy scrapbooking and being with my friends.

Other Information:
I am a true animal lover; would love to be able to open a rescue site for animals. I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and a fish aquarium which I find relaxing. I love flower gardens, and have a special "bird passion"-my birds outside are always well fed!!
