How It Is
In 2007 I graduated with a Media Arts degree, a course I thoroughly enjoyed and found rewarding, but during the course and since then have had both mental health (depression and anxiety) and physical problems (the latter being mainly fatigue and unexplained joint/muscle pain affecting my mobility). I am constantly looking for ways to regain my confidence and physical fitness, and be out there once again, living life rather than as I currently do, spending months not going outdoors at all. ...
Guilt about my problems and resulting inability to be in employed work is an annoying side effect. An immediate goal is to seek a diagnosis of what is the cause of the fatigue and aches and pains. It is possible it is Fibromyalgia. I am optimistic that it will then be possible to gradually improve my fitness, through understanding of the condition and such things as careful pacing. I do hope I will then reach a level of fitness that will enable me to work toward and achieve some (maybe all!) my ambitions: -Make short films -Re-create my social life -Take up outdoor sports (rambling, sailing, rock climbing) -Bring romance back into my life! -Live and work abroad -Regularly enjoy culture -Campaign on issues I care about -De-clutter, thoroughly clean and decorate my lovely home

My Goals:
Update June 2010: As the physical problems just seem to be worsening, my first goal now is to see the Doctor and have a diagnosis of just what is causing the fatigue, and aches and pains. My next goal will then be to work towards managing the problem in a way which enables me to do as much as is possible, rather than alternating between doing too little and then trying to do too much (and ending up wracked with pain/exhausted) --------------------
My Program:
Exercise gently every day which will help avoid further detoriation in mobility Eat a healthy, nutritious and energising diet Meditate (or Qigongg) daily Use SP exercise and food trackers Pace myself
Personal Information:
From the UK. My two sons are now adults, and I want to regain my fitness and confidence to enjoy this new independence. A major ambition is to live and work abroad for a while.
Other Information:
Five and ten percent interim goals: 177lbs (5% of start wt) 168lbs (10% of start wt) 160lbs (5% of 168lbs) 151lbs (10% of 168lbs) 143lbs (5% of 151lbs) 136lbs (10% of 151lbs)
