In the maintenance zone!

I am in my 20s and have hit my goal weight of 122lbs. I enjoy knitting, gardening and I work as a Health and Wellness Consultant. I love exercising, but having a desk job after 10 years as a fitness/tennis instructor changed my lifestyle just a bit back in December 2007. :)

I am primarily Vegan, but not by choice. I found out I was allergic to dairy and eggs, so I can't have anything with; eggs, milk, butter, cheese, sour cream, cream cheese etc. I find eating a vegan diet with the addition of lean meats is a beneficial diet plan. I feel more energized and I get full and maintain fullness a lot better.

My Program:
Three days a week I do a circuit training program that uses my body weight as my form of weights. I work the whole body!

In Season Cardio Training:
Monday - 13 mile run @ 8min/mile
Tuesday - 8 mile run @ 8 min/mile and 30 minute swim
Wednesday - 8 mile run @ 7min/mile
Thursday - 90 min swim
Friday - Rest
Saturday - 90 min bike

During my lunch break in the summer when the weather is nice, I go to the track and either walk or jog with my mom and other co-workers who need motivation to work out.

Every night I do a 30-60 minute power yoga routine for the entire body.

I try to consume around 1800+ calories. I eat a high fruit and vegetable diet with lean protein. I try to get 30 grams of fiber and 80+ grams of protein. My goal is to stay under 40 grams of fat each day and consume no processed foods. I have genetically high cholesterol, so I try to keep my cholesterol intake under 150mg/day.

I thank my husband for his support of me and my body just the way it is. He makes me realize that everything I am doing is for my own personal benefit. My parents are my inspiration and taught me everything I know!

Actually there is this one at the end of September that has a sprint, olympic and half duathlon that I had wanted to try out...but I am so SLOW on a bike. I have ridden to work a couple times (12.5 miles) and it took me an 1:05!

I stumbled on your page as well. I would love to do a duathlon at some point. I just bought a road bike and have really enjoyed it. I am a runner at heart though..so its tough to get into other sports when I feel like there is still more I can do with running. But you are inspirational and I hope I can meet your level of fitness one day :)
