New Year and a Healthier Me

I'm a married, mom of 3 boys, step-mom to 3 more, 5 of which are in college. As of May 2011, we now have a grandson, so no more excuses, it's time to get fit and healthy!

My Goals:
I started out at 189 on September 27, 2009. I've already lost 25 lbs. Idealistically, I would like to loose 40 more, but my husband thinks it would be too much.

My Program:
Meet with a Doctor and Nutritionist to evaluate my health and diet. Meet with a personal trainer 3 times a week for strength training. Do cardio minumum 30 minutes for at least 5 days a week and throw a few different classes every once in a while to mix it up.

You are an inspiration my friend! I am back on the spark and have made it to the gym for the last 10 of 11 days! I missed one day due to short gym hours-house cleaning and grocery shopping, I think mopping the house made up for my missing:) Keep on keeping on girl! emoticon

The progress you've made since January is incredible! Do you think it's more about the personal training...or the nutrition? I am learning at this stage in my life (40+) that it takes BOTH - simultaneously - to see results. I'm struggling w/that! Which was harder for you to adopt?

WOW WEE! Can't believe the exercise minutes you just crossed. I'm currently at what your starting weight was and would be happy to maintain 150. I'm inspired. I hope I can do as well in the next 6 months as you have in the last 6 months. Keep it up.
