I am a farm wife and stay-at-home mother to two teenagers. I have been a member of SparkPeople since January 2, 2009. I have lost 42 pounds and want to lose 15 more. SparkPeople is the best thing that has happened to me for weight loss. I have learned a lot in my 'healthy lifestyle' journey and I know I have a lot more to learn.

My Goals:
To reach my goal weight in 2010 and hike to Plateau Point in the Grand Canyon in March 2011.
My Program:
I am keeping track of all food I eat and I try to stay within the calories, fat, protein, and carbs guidelines provided on SparkPeople. I am doing aerobic excercise 5 days a week for 90 minutes a day and I excercise with weights 2 times a week.

My name is Terry and I live on a farm with my husband and two teenage children in Iowa.
Other Information:
Since starting on SparkPeople I have taken up cooking. I really think that trying new recipes and having different foods is what has helped me stay on my weight loss journey. I like to read, garden, take walks, bike, play tennis and my new favorite hobby is hiking.
