Fitness Minutes: 39,075

My Goals:
Looking to drop significant weight by eating healthy and getting active, but not to be consumed by the process. I just want it to be part of my lifestyle without having to talk about it all the time.

My Program:
I have adopted many of the measures recommended by Dr. Yoni Freedhoff in "The Diet Fix." Eating within an hour of waking (though truth be told I've tweaked that just a bit due to trying to get in my exercise in the am), eating every 2.5 to 3.5 hours, at least 20 g protein for all 3 meals, at least 10 g. protein for snacks. These high protein meals and snacks are not quite as easy as I thought they would be, especially the snacks. Working my way through!!

As of July 19, 2014, have committed to at least 10 minutes of fitness a day. I am really doing more like 20-30 minutes, but I have committed to at least 10 to keep myself from dropping off the fitness train for long periods of time.

Committing to something I think of as "me" time daily. It can be as simple as doing my 10 minutes, taking a few minutes to read, or an all out shopping spree, but I recognize how important it is for me to take care of me, and to do something that is only for me. every day.

Personal Information:
I am a lifelong resident of a community north of Boston, Massachusetts. I am married and we have a 12-year old son who keeps us hopping. I work full-time and am very involved in my son's activities, and wouldn't have it any other way!!

It has been a very challenging last 18 months for my family. We have suffered through some sickness and some death. It has taken its toll on all of us, but specifically, speaking for myself, I have to admit I feel somewhat defeated, it seems like every time I'm getting ready to take a step forward, something happens to suck me back into the vortex of negativity.

Other Information:
Love sports of all kinds, but most especially whatever team my son is currently playing on. I am a proud Baseball Mom and Hockey Mom.

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl.
